Could Satterfield lay one on Roy and win it or is he dismantled by Superman?

RJJ is a class above, knocks Satterfield out. Bob has a loose punchers chance.

When Roy was prime, which lasted past the 30 mark, his reflexes and speed were other-wordly. He just did exactly what he wanted to do in the ring.

What has happened to the classic section of this forum? Turning into the General with the amount of click bait trolling threads that pop up. What next? Khan vs Tommy Hearns? Lucus Browne vs Lennox Lewis?

Roy wouldn't see the third round. Satterfield would be on manslaughter charges.

You act like it's not realistic that prime RJJ couldn't beat a 175-185 pound opponent who wasn't really an ATG as a LHW or HW.

I'd make Roy a 8-5 favorite, Satterfield was dangerous

I'm old enough to remember when a 34 year old Roy Jones was being honestly and rightfully considered by trainers and experts alike in the discussion of All TIme Greats... Top 10, Top 5.... even up there with Robinson according to some. He went 49 fights undefeated, grabbing belts from middle to heavyweight and had never seemed remotely in danger of losing.

Roy's only problem is that he carried on too long, wrote checks on those preternatural reflexes that ultimately his body could no longer cash. However, when he was prime, which could be argued lasted almost a decade and a half, he could barely be touched, including by two consensus HOF contemporaries who he decidedly beat.

Yet you are going to pick a guy who lost fully 1/3 of his contests to steamroll him?

If it looks like a modernist, sounds like a modernist, and quacks like a modernist then it’s safe to assume it’s a filthy, pesty modernist!!

    That's some quality cane wagging.

I guess it would be asking too much to rebut the actual points made.

I don’t think Roy, despite his obvious talent, had the greatest whiskers. Satterfield had bombs in either hand akin to Battling Jim Johnson.

But the most important aspect of this fantasy fight is the speed. Who would land their punches first? Without question Satterfield beats Roy to the punch and once Battling Bob lands, which I predict early, then it is goodnight Vienna.

True. A better question is would he take a fight vs a guy like Satterfeild? Probably not.
