What happened when he fought Leonard in fights 2 and 3 and Benitez? I think Duran is greater than Floyd, but the way he performed against those 2 fighters, I think Floyd would give him trouble. I hate to say it.

you can go to any weight and he always had the same wide stance, and a fighter who is moving or fast on pivots and hand speed gives him trouble. It is nice to say he would destroy anyone, and then when he fights them he loses and says he was not in shape.

Man the way Castillo and Maidana put it on Floyd, Duran would destroy him easy.

Duran is a great fighter clearly knows what he's doing in the ring, against an older Mayweather who moved less he'd have plenty of opportunities and I could see a peak Duran beating that version of Mayweather but prime Mayweather would simply move too much and give him too few opportunities to work in close and counter Mayweathers right hand like he showed there.

As great as Duran was Mayweather style wise is very problematic for him.

Duran is loved, we all love him. I get it. But Floyd would frustrate him with his defensive style. Just all wrong for Duran IMO.

Duran is up to the task no doubt but PBF's defense and movement would give him fits.

Duran was out of shape for those fights. Of course that is his fault, but an in shape Duran performs better.

Also Benitez and Leonard are FAR more proven fighters than Mayweather is. Floyd was used to fighting guys over the hill or B level fighters.

Benitez beat Cervantez in his prime. Went 15 with Leonard in his prime until finally being stopped in the final round. And went 15 rounds with peak Tommy Hearns. Virtually nobody in history could go 15 against a 1982 Hearns at 154.

And then Floyd had problems with pressure fighters.

Hes not nearly as proven against A level fighters in their prime like Duran, Benitez, Leonard, Hearns, etc. Those guys fought in the golden era. Where they was no ducking or waiting.

Irrelevant PBF's speed defense and movement would be great in any era.

That is what I mean. and if he lost to Floyd he would be out of shape again. Yet he was in shape for Moore and Barkley.. See how the excuses don't really add up?

Yes, but we haven't seen it against guys on the level that Duran fought. You realize that Benitez went 15 with prime Hearns at 154 and the fight was close. That's unbelievable.
