By Dan Ambrose: Saul Canelo Alvarez won’t need to defend his IBF middleweight title against Sergiy Derevyanchenko next after all. According to Michael Benson, the International Boxing Federation says they made an “error” by ordering the Canelo (52-1-3, 35 KOs) to defend his recently won IBF 160-pound title against mandatory Derevyanchenko

Yeah, it was kind of odd that SD who had just lost to the IBF Jacobs was immediately put as a mandatory after a tune up fight.

Makes sense. Jacobs and Derevyanchenko were left with Golovkns mandatory obligation since he opted out to fight a retired 154 pounder.

Once more the cash cow gets a pass. The way Canelo, & Mayweather before him, get preferential treatment is nothing short of criminal. Boxing has become a cess pit of corruption. I'm so glad I'm not actively involved any more I still hope the sport recovers

Oscar: We will vacate the belt and you will lose money. Canelo has dropped a belt before to age GGG as you already know.

IBF: We will retract the mandatory at once. When's the check going in the mail?

Oscar: I'm about to insert a blender into my butt. Need to focus. Byes!

I don't normally defend C.J., but he actually averages less post per day than you.

I'm just saying because I have almost 39K.

not....exactly. I joined the same year as he did. And not saying anything is wrong with that, but that's pretty involved. That's all.

Jacobs beat SD. GGG beat Jacobs and Canelo beat GGG and Jacobs. Of all the things to gripe over with Canelo, this is not one. I have no issue here.
