Took him 7 rounds to stop Brazeale, took him 10 rounds to stop Takam, took him 11 rounds to stop Klitschko, Took him 7 rounds to stop Whyte. Is his power over-hyped?
It took Wilder 9 rounds to finish off school teacher Molina, while Buffet Champion Chris Arreola did it in 1.
Joshua is more of a technical fighter and Wilder picks those big punches to make up for his lack of fundamental training. Both guys are big as hell and I wold not be running up on them calling them feather fisted unless I was ready to get put to sleep. Mike Tyson and Larry Holmes use to fight guys in the streets and from what I remember Wilder has had to tear off in some people asses already, I'll fight his weak ass brother though in a heart beat.
Wilder's and Joshua power is overrated. Bermaine Stiverne isn't anything special and stopped broken down Chris Arreola in 5 while Wilder took 9 I believe. Adam Kownacki stopped Artur Spilzka in 2 while Wilder took 9. Kownacki took 2 rounds to stop Gerald Washington while Wilder took 5. Knocking out overweight tomato can Dominic Breazeale didn't prove anything either. 50 year old club fighter Amir Mansour almost knocked out Breazeale a few years ago.
No he's not feather fisted but Wilder is clearly the hardest puncher in the division right now, I think last nights performance proved Wilder has better one shot power in that right hand, that right hand that finished it is the best right hand Wilder has ever thrown it was vicious. Joshua's punches lack the speed Wilder does. If you rewatch Joshua/Breazeale you can see in the slowmo's that Breazeale when caught braces for impact just before getting hit. He isn't fast enough to get out of the way but he knows they are coming. Wilder's punches faster and he catches you with shots you don't see coming and it's those that really hurt you.
Because you type lol it is suppose to prove something? If you get impressed by Wilder knocking out tomato cans then good for you. Wilder has yet to knock out a world class fighter who is in their prime.
Obviously he's not feather fisted look at his K.O ratio. Just that wilder has a bigger one punch so what
Did you read my comment you said Deontay Wilder fanboy? I flat out stated that both AJ and Wilder's punching power are overrated. Knocking out stiff doesn't prove anything. Go to YouTube and type in Tye Fields. He was knocking out guys left and right. In fact he knocked out some of the same fighters Wilder beat and stopped them a lot easier. Nobody said Tye was a huge puncher.
The answer to the question is who has the most first round KO's? Who carries his power late in fights? Based on what i have seen, Wilder has the better stamina, has never gassed in fights, is a warrior who never stops punching and has never been floored.
