For me Fury gets very little credit for his performance against a dangerous Wilder in December 2018 especially considering all that he went through before that fight, Wilder is a dangerous puncher and Fury for the most part out boxed him and avoided his right hand and punches and even took some of Wilder's punches except for the two knock down's which he got up from like a boss and still regained control of the fight.

I do wonder if Fury is getting up from those shots landed from a bulkier Wilder.

Wilder was a twig in their fight... and scored one of the biggest weight disparity knockdowns in the history of the sport in a championship fight.

I wonder if Fury gets counted out if hes hit by a Wilder thats not a suana session away from cruiserweight.

Then again maybe a bigger Wilder loses enough speed to not land those shots.

Fury has very good fundamentals for a 7 ft fighter. Thats also why he scared Wlad to death and would take Joshua to deep waters too.

Brazzeale was Fury's weight in this fight. Fury was only the second opponent to go the distance with Wilder and the first one to do so having thorough out boxed him. Both fighters would need to make adjustments in the rematch which is still 50-50.

Historically the punchers lose the rematch, Wilder is by definition a puncher, Fury is a master boxer. Fury would also be at least 80 percent for the rematch, Fury was barely at 30 percent before and he still won

Ye but you could argue Fury's body & punch resistance wasn't as great as it could ave been, after still being on a come down from a 2 year coke & pie binge.. Staying in shape & getting more & more rounds in over time will further improve the much more talented Fury's chances further.. Not that he needed it, he won 10 rounds anyway lol

That Fury hadn't had 12 with Wilder remember! Now he has, & he's disciplined etc he'll know what to expect, intelligent multi dimensional fighter like Fury won't get WORSE in a rematch will he?

Fury is always going to be the worst possible opponent out there for Wilder.

Wilder is a very poor boxer, and that plays into Furys major strength. Its a bad match up for Wilder and it always will be.

I dont disagree with you, which is why I still find a rematch between them interesting. Theres a few variables that when changed, could create a significant difference in outcome.

I don't think you understand what cruiser weight means. Just because most fighters today come in overweight doesn't make 215 a cruiser weight. Based on that logic Jarrell Miller has to be the best heavyweight fighter right now and the only legit heavyweight since he weighs over 300 pounds and guys like Joshua are 240.

Also putting a few extra pounds doens't increase your power. Again if that was the case Miller would be the hardest punching heavyweight. Fury getting knocked down by Wilder proved nothing for Deontay or Tyson Fury. Light punching blown up 190 pound Steve Cunnigham almost knocked out Fury with on punch.

How was it underrated? He was shown a lot of respect for his performance. He made me a fan of his and I was among the first to say he would never fight again after the nonsense he pulled on Vlad.

Gotta say that one-two was the fastest I've seen from Wilder. Reminds me of Lewis-Rahman, it's just so faster.
