There’s nothing to be terrified of because we all know team Wilder have Ortiz lined up next.

Even before Wilder KO'ed Breazeale so brutally I think anything other than a dominant display would have been disappointing. This isn't Povetkin or Wlad he's facing or even Parker who boxed elusively. Ruiz will be there to be hit, sure he's not as easy to hit as Breazeale and poses greater offensive threat with his fast hands but Joshua should deal with him easily.

An early KO is what most expect and it's what he'll need to deliver.

Joshua not easy to hit? This is rubbish. He has been hit easily by Whyte, Wlad, Takam, Parker, Povetkin and being easy to hit is a recipe for disaster against Wilder

Don't forget George "Scrap-iron" Johnson. Absorbing Hvyweight opponents' "bombs" was the reason he got paid the big bucks back in '60's.

    YES.

I just watched it, it was a Perfectly timed counter overhand right, SMACK on the best place on the point of the chin for KO...

it was a GREAT Shot, Breazeale just moved to throw out a left and Wilder countered immediately, great shot.

but NO Harder than MANY, MANY KO Punchers, the sport was/is Full of Them.

Tyson was the Hardest hitting Heavyweight in History, and he was a Proper Sized HW, Nota Giant S-HW which is a whole other division!!!

Fury will fight Wilder again and school him again.
... and all the Fury haters will find some reason to deny it happen.

Funny how the haters come up with "he reneged on the Wlad rematch", "he reneged on the Wilder rematch".
Maybe so, but they ignore and deny the facts that he clearly and easily beat Wlad in a boring fight and Wlad's performance did not merit a rematch.
Deny and ignore the facts that he clearly outpointed Wilder too, and was robbed, and was being offered the rematch on almost exactly the same terms again .... to be robbed again.

Most knowledgeable fans agree he's 2-0 in those fights. Beat them when no one else could.
Now, we've got Fury haters complaining "he never beat anyone good in a non-title" ...... LOL.
So what ? He beat the best out there when no one else could do it.
He'll probably fight and beat Joshua too.

Fury's no all-time great but he's the best of the bunch right now. Maybe the division is in a bad state but can't fault him for that.

It was a great shot, but then even Breazeale almost beat the count although he was badly hurt.
I would suggest plenty could have taken that punch see the list above.
Having said that plenty couldn’t have.
There’s no doubt the man has serious power.

Fury was at deaths door. He knows what Wilder is capable of.

He’s a terrible “boxer” but that power is something else.

Can Fury last 12 rounds without getting caught again I’m not so sure.

I thought there was a good chance this happens. Wilder's power is legit. No news there. Breazeale struggles to avoid punches. No news there.

Joshua however is a far superior boxer to Breazeale. He'll land on Wilder easily early doors from his orthodox stance and then when he's hurt him finish him off.

Got to agree. As someone said above, even if Wilder hadn’t won in such dramatic fashion it would’ve been hard for AJ to impress with a win over Ruiz. Aesthetically he’s terrible, he may well be a decent boxer but he just looks like ****. Joe public aren’t gona lap it up.

Hopefully this puts pressure on AJ to go out there and destroy Ruiz in round 1 and the public demand the biggest heavyweight fight of all time.

I'm sure that Tyson, Holyfield, Lennox and the K brothers are glad that they aren't fighting in the division today. When Wilder first came on the scene, I remember I thought he would have the WBC belt for 2-3 defenses and lose it, but every fight I'm becoming more of a believer.
His style is crude but effective, and with power like that, it's beyond words.

It was a well timed shot. Wilder caught the slow pudding as he was moving forward (with absolutely no defence) and on the chin.

Fair play on the fine finish but equally Breazeale showed that he is a C level boxer with no ring iq if he thought he could walk down Windmill with no defence.
