It's not looking too promising for him. He lost to a guy with 16 defeats from 16 fights, that is poor. If it wasn't for the name nobody would be at all fussed about him.

Thats the problem with boxing too much focus put on unbeaten records, perhaps he had a off night against a tricky journeyman, no need to retire after that just a need to regain his focus and put more into it, perhaps the wake up call he needed.

A night off? he hasn't had a night on in his whole career!

I'm not writing Harley off for a loss, I'm writing him off because he is terrible. Even with time on his side, he just doesn't have it IMO. The lad should find something else to do because he is going nowhere in boxing.

How about a circus fight, with Eubanks illegitimate son? Harley has zero boxing talent, so why not use his name to sell BS whilst he can get away with it..
Frank could promote it as Benn-Eubank 3 - “The Farce” and stick it on the Dubois- Gorman undercard.

I agree that boxing isn't only for elite fighters. I'm quite happy watching evenly matched lower level fighters, but boxing isn't a game as you well know, and any fighter could get seriously hurt.

He doesn't appear to have the skill level to be a competent journeyman even. Guys like Warburton or Van Poetsch who fight regulary but know how to survive. So what's the point? I'm sure there is something he could be successful at, but it isn't boxing.

If Harley Benn was my own son, I would be telling him to hang up the gloves.

A dreadful boxer who's opponents to date have a combined record of 16-139.

I would normally agree with you...but the geezer he lost to had 16 fights. No wins. All losses. I bet he is the happiest man in the world right now though lmao..his first win against Benn who some was saying was the future of boxing! !

A 0-16 boxer is not a 'tricky journeyman' though

He can still earn a few quid at it and live the dream of being a professional athlete, if he was getting heavily Ko'd and hurt badly i could see your point.

But he lost one fight FFS.
