Wilder may be the most devastating HW puncher ever...certainly comparable to Tyson or Dempsey

I mean for his height and weight, he could certainly KO any of his predecessors with his power and longazz arms

Say what you will about his competition, but a HW kayo is a HW kayo, and Wilder has plenty of highlights to choose from...

Yes Klitschko may have had a bigger punch, but he fought very timid and rarely went after an opponent, whereas Wilder is known to come out guns a blazing, and you know if he gets clipped and stunned his natural reaction is to throw down and not get all defensive like a lot of other fighters do.

Physically, i would say that Lennox Lewis or George Foreman could give him a run for his money, but i put Wilder in Tyson and Dempseys class because of the brutality and utter viciousness of his KOs

The best competition he faced was a part time boxer, recovering drug addict who himself hadn't fought a live body for years. And he deserved to lose that fight.

But, yes, he hits very hard, is not afraid to thrwo and has all the faith in his power.

If people can ignore the flaws and weaknesses of shavers, Ruddock, Max Baer, David Tua, Tommy Morrison, Frank Bruno, etc but praise them as these devastating punchers regardless of the quality of the opponent they KO'd, why cant wilder get the same treatment?

In shavers, David tua, and Ruddock's case they never even became champions and lost to some fighters who were B or even C level if we're bejng completely honest. Yet they are consistently showered with praise as power punchers and named in top 10 and even top 5 punchers lists. Wilder is an undefeated champion with 8 title defenses with a 95% ko ratio and people are still dismissing his power as if its nothing to take note of.

Obviously he doesnt have the greatest resume or skill, but lets stop shifting the goal posts. If we're discussing pure destructive power lets stay on topic. And leave all the childish "Deonkey/Beyonce" or "toothpick legs" comments at the 5th grade lunch table while you're at it.

Best wins are grandpa Ortiz and Stiverne 1.

    He lost to Tyson Fury

His power isnt authenticated at the highest level of his generation, so he cant be compared to the highest level of power of other generations.

Don't listen to anyone on this forum that says otherwise, they are hung up on the past and have lost sight of objectivity.

Doesn't make a difference if some opponents are bums or not... so many excuses, like Fury was at 60% etc...

Look what AJ did to breazeale then look in AWE at what Wilder did.

Wilder is the hardest hitting heavyweight of all time.

One Punch Man. Wilder is a force of nature.

    Absurd claim.
Wilder has still not faced anyone even as good as Pinklon Thomas.
Your post could just as easily be about Primo Carnera

As long as the inverse is also conceded. If you'll agree that Wilder is, AT BEST, the same overall level as those guys you named, and emphatically NOT at the level of the greats of their eras, then I will concede he had comparable power.
He has comparable power to Ruddock, Tua, Baer, Morrison, Bruno. That's fine.

But also, in no imaginable way, can he compare in greatness to Lewis, Louis, Holyfield or Tyson

Wilder also puts 150% on his punches, I love that and its very exciting but you know who else used to do that? Pacquiao until Marquez made him pay for it.

Jack Dempsey is barely even a top 30 Heavyweight power-puncher, such an overrated fighter.

What put's Wilder alongside Tyson and Dempsey is his viciousness. Wilder genuinely wants to ko his opponent with every right hand he throws. And the only recent fighter who threw punches in similar manner was Julian Jackson.

You must mean punchers like Tyson, Shavers, Ruddock and Foreman. Dempsey was a hard puncher but his name shouldn't even be mentioned among some of the greatest ever punchers.

Lennox had just as good punching. The problem with Wilder is if he is ever countered by a good punch by say Joshua, I think he is knocked out. I don't think it will take many punches to knock him out. He does have a fast sharp punch.

Agreed. He's still one of the hardest punchers ever at hw though. By no means is he even close to the skill set of the hard punching greats, but I don't think there's any denying he hits as hard as any of them.
