How many people have inoue knocked out/down that are 20-40 pounds heavier than him?

Surely you understand the distinction between comparing P4P power and actual power, right? OF COURSE Inoue doesn't actually hit harder than Wilder, but in a P4P sense, he does.

And at heavyweight, you're dealing with a power cut off because the men there are so big. Every heavyweight has a great chance of KOing another heavyweight with a flush shot solely based on size. This is not the case for the smaller weight classes. It's like you almost can't kill a person hitting them with a bicycle going 40 mph. However, if you hit a person with a car going the same speed, death is likely.

 

Express weight difference as a percentage over a boxer's own weight and the gap narrows. Also Wilder can fight much heavier guys because there is no limit to HW whereas Inoue and his opponents have to make weight. Jeez....

 

Even P4P wise, how clear is it that Inoue is more powerful?
I think it's extremely subjective and presumptuous to state that one stands clearly above the other.

 

Whilst I agree with the TS, you got to factor in the fact that some HWs are top 20 because they are heavy. For example, valuev was 100lb heavier than haye, but valuev was so **** he was only a top HW because of his size.

So could inoue knock out an average toughman 20-40lb heavier than him? Easily. And maybe that toughman just has enough skills along with his size advantage to make him a top 20 BW (if there was no size limit).

We saw this in the early days of ufc. Cro- cop knocked out bob sapp but bob sapp was crap.

 

The point still stands — everyone at heavyweight has a great chance of KOing one another solely on brute force based on size. An SUV going 40 is killing both a 220 pound heavyweight and 260 pound heavyweight.

I believe that Inoue would KO Zlaticanin, Linares, Crolla, and even a little bit north, Rod Salka.

I wouldn't be shocked if Inoue punches just as hard, if not harder, than Lomachenko.

 

I don't particularly agree with claims Inoue is a big puncher than Wilder P4P, but you're not understanding the difference in how punch power works further up the weights.

It's no coincidence that through history, KO percentage goes up the heavier you get. That's because weight gets less important the heavier you are, and by the time you get as big as heavyweight, it barely matters at all.

 

Wilders right hand is the single most powerful p4p weapon in boxing.

 

Can any fat 39 year old bantamweight with heart problems go 10 rounds with Inoue? And keep in mind that Luis Ortiz is really in his late 40s and it still took Wilder 10 rounds to put him away.

 

Inoue has stopped guys with body shots, right hands, left hooks, going forward, and going backwards looking effortlessly.

Wilder has one punch and he needs to throw everything behind it.

 

That 'have' instead of 'has' in the thread title is quite disturbing.

 

How is that an argument?
Inoue is looking to land a variety of punches. Wilder is looking for that one right hand. You made an argument for who has the better offense.

 

How is that not an argument? Inoue wrecks dude without needing to throw haymakers. Wilder needs to put every ounce of force behind his right hand.
