I've rated it between 70/30 and 60/40 for a long time in AJs benefit, but I'm starting to reevaluate. AJ is the better boxer and almost as hard hitting. But I'm starting to think Wilders explosiveness, length, and timing is enough to make this a 50/50 fight or better.

Plus, while I think if AJ just bum rushed Wilder early on like he did in his early career, that would pose problems for Wilder, I suspect AJ is going to take his time and bank rounds. Wilder will time him eventually if he does that. AJ is no Fury in either elusiveness or recovery, and AJ will get GTFO if he gets hit like Fury did.

It’s definitely a 50-50 fight. Fury was catching wilder and outboxing him easily but doesn’t have the power. Joshua punches harder and can put his combos together well. If wilder catches him properly though it will be over. It’s a fight where you’d be lying if you knew the outcome because wilder is so unpredictable. Just gotta hope it happens.

I'm starting to think that I've been right all along. Wilder is getting KNOCKED OUT BAD.

AJ will just throw the gameplan out the window against Wilder, because he can.

Problem is that all the fighters Wilder has faced are all one-shot punchers who sit back and take unnecessary punishment. And the ones who weren't taught Wilder a lesson (Fury and Ortiz).

Joshua was hit by a shot from the heavens by Wlad. I still believe that nothing Wilder has thrown has actually come close to that shot. That shot from Wlad was perfection and AJ still got up from it.

Thing is, as soon as Wilder comes forward and throws something, he's vulnerable. AJ is a great counter-puncher. When AJ lands once, he becomes extremely dangerous and accurate, and that one punch becomes 2, 3, 4 and so on. And he won't stop until his man is down. AJ is relentless and Wilder won't be able to deal with it.

And what about the physicality? Wilder has never fought anything like the physical monster that AJ is. He will bully Wilder in the clinch and force him onto the ropes. As soon as that happens it's goodnight for Deonkey.

Don't let a 1st round KO in a fight he was always going to win cloud your judgement.

The real question is can Wilder take it when AJ lands?

No, he could barely take it when Ortiz landed.

It'd be foolish to think it wouldn't be a close fight. AJ's style is much more favorable for Wilder than Fury's was. Deontay's timing is underrated IMO. Everyone knows to avoid the right and he manages to land it flush every single fight.

breazeale was not even trying to stay away from the right

wilder can easily get frustrated and go head hunting like we saw v fury and that can be his down fall

especailly if the fight is in uk infront of 90k brits then wilder will be rattled

Everything you said was correct except you can't be sure Wilder will always win with any puncher. Wheather it's a 1st rounder or 12th, in Wilder fights anything could happen. The Breazeales fight would have become much more difficult had he been able to at least get to round 4. Chances are in a fight like it it would go there in a rematch and Wilder is always one punch way from winning or losing.

I'm not so Sure Fury wins the rematch, I said Fury would win then lose the second fight with Wilder , see what I mean ?

No fight is really predictable with punchers but Joshua brings skill and speed himself , I don't like Wilder s chances at all really.

I'm actually starting to think that too, a pity Wilder/Wilder's team turned down the 100 million offer and plan on fighting Ortiz and Kownacki next though. This has the potential to be a great fight between #2 of the best #3 fighters in the division, by the time it eventually does happen this fight could be like a future Khan-Brook fight, irrelevant and a few years too late.

Let's hope that's not the case, and the fighters and teams get there act together and make this happen next.

Did you just not see the punch Wilder hit Breazeale with?

Could you point me to any single round where fury was truly landing anything effective while out boxing Dw, one seem the tape but it fails top show anyone out boxing anyone... fury doesn't get credit for shots he made mostly miss but still landing on him. Fury truly did lies than he did vs wlad, you'd claim impossible, ya me too but it's fact

I still think it's AJ 60/40. I do agree that Fury poses some unique challenges to Wilder that Joshua does not, but usually the more complete fighter wins when the physical attributes are close.

That's the exact thing that changed everything. Dw now knows that he could be in a very frustrating night but he landed perfect, even on a running away fury, Aj will be right there coming in even.

Pick me fight if there's ever was one. On any given night they could beat each other with every single outcome on the table. What makes this the fight. Sorry fury fans, because of these 2 monsters fury won't ever win a title again. No chance, never

You do realize Joshua is the number one guy right and Breazeales ( in my own ranking about 8) and they're world apart ?

You can't use Breazeale to suggest Wilder wins, for one AJ fought him in his 17th fight and Breazeale was still on the canvas when it was waved off not contemplating on continuing. Lol
