Tough and granite-chinned journeyman Zack Page (21-45-2, 7 KOs) will return to the ring after 5-years hiatus to face this generation's version of himself Terrell Jamal Woods (19-45-7, 13 KOs), who is 17 years younger than him. The fight between Page and Woods is scheduled to take place on June 16 in Forrest City, USA.
June 16. It won't replace the most anticipated fight of all time between Canuel Charr and Fres Oquendo though.
He was definitely not a heavy bag during his prime, or, uh, should I say original run. He was a terrific spoiler and journeyman extraordinaire. Now, though, at 46 and rusty..?
This is a well matched fight. If Page has taken care of himself in the 5 years he's been out its going to be a close one.
Page is tough as nails. At around 40 years old he fought and took Medzhid Bektemirov’s flush shots and that boy could really punch even though he was lacking in boxing skills. I seen Bektemirov knockout Gerald Washington in sparring and put both Wilder and Breazeale on their backs at the fight factory. That said at almost 50 Page should focus on training fighters or something else, since he’s taken more than enough hits to the head.
