Wilder may be the most devastating HW puncher ever...certainly comparable to Tyson or Dempsey

His power is authentic, and yes proven jusr as much IF NOT more than the fighters listed like Tyson and to lesser degree shavers.

Dw has whip and snap in his shots UNSEEN in prior eras, I know you'll never admit your heros from the past get the BS treatment,

Lol at this mindless nostalgiaist calling me a casual. Keep looking at the world in your Rose colored glasses and never be troubled by facts or reason.

I'm talking specifically about his KO highlight reels. Go back and look at them, and tell me what you see. Most (not all) of his best knockouts were some combination of poor or very small opponents. I'm not criticizing Tyson for that — he fought who was available — but this is a different era.

Tyson knocked out numerous guys with one punch. Also fighters weren't smaller back then, they were in better shape. Lol also because Wilder knocked out club fighter Breazeale with one punch that means something? How many punches did it take him to stop Arreola? How many punches did it take him to stop Molina? How many punches did it take him to stop 50 year old Ortiz? How many punches did it take him to stop Johann Duhaupus?

The era Tyson was in was better. That is why people watched boxing back then. Boxing was taken seriously. The heavyweight champion was all over talk shows and people respected them. Nobody gives a darn about the heavyweight division anymore. The skill level has worsen. The talent pool is gone.

Right casual fan. You think Deontay Wilder beating up tomato cans is impressive. I told you a fact. It isn't. There is a reason why the heavyweight division is considered a joke. It isn't because the talent pool has gotten better. Ever since Lennox Lewis and those guys retired the heavyweight division has gotten worse. This in't nostalgia. This is a fact. The current heavyweights are overweight and extremely unskilled. Wilder is so bad that his best wins are against guys like Chris Arreola who would be considered a club fighter back in the 90's.

Lol Dempsey. You know that’s a guy that would get knocked out by any top 5 light heavy or super middle right? It’s embarrassing when people talk about these old timers, they reveal their immaturity and lack of critical thought.

idgaf about ruddocks amateur career. Wtf does him winning a DECISION over Lewis in the AMATEURS have to do with a discussion about who hits harder between him and wilder? stay on topic and quit shifting the goal posts.

Ruddock's best knockouts are: a 36 year old james smith who lost 2 of his last 3 fights, michael dokes, and a washed up greg page.

So unless you think those opponents are equal to an undefeated Luiz Ortiz, undefeated Fury, undefeated Washington, or Brezealle if we're just measuring pure power and best opponents, then obviously Ruddock is not on the same level.

He's obviously doing something right because he knocked them out.

No, of course not. Wladmir is the best stoppage win so far, then Ortiz, then povetkin.

Your reading comprehension is horrible. I brought up shavers and several other sluggers and asked why theyre included on atg punchers lists over wilder when they never won a belt and he's not only a champion, but he's defended that belt 8x. You responded "because theyre competent boxers" which is one of the dumbest explanations I've seen.

Im still waiting for you to show me where i said I was a "greatly knowledgeable poster".

You continue to ignore the direct question posed to you. Look at Tyson's KO compilations and the guys he knocked out with one shot. No one has said he failed to deliver any one-punch KOs, only that Wilder's one punch KOs have happened against bigger and better opposition. By the time his career is finished, his highlight reel might look closer to Julian Jackson's. That impressive, whether you will admit it or not.

Your second paragraph is irrelevant. This thread isn't about the state of HW boxing in the United States.

Joe Louis? Absolutely not. Tyson is debatable too tbh. Theyre a different breed of punchers, they catch you with blindingly fast, explosive combinations that you don't see coming. Their power comes from angles, sharpness, shifting body weight, and generating crazy power from their superb technique. They're definitely top 5 in terms of finishing an opponent off, which is an entirely different skill set. Wilder basically flatlines his opponents and they drop like a sack of potatos from 1 punch wether its the 1st or 12th round. Wether he sets it up, baits the opponent, or is swinging for tje fences the result is the same. I dont see any logical argument for his sheer 1 punch power not being in the top 5.

Baer? Meh. He clobbered mostly little guys and doesnt have very men big men or durable men on his record outside of Carnerera, galento, etc.

Wilder broke his hand in the 4th and still stopped arreola faster than Vitali did. Arreola stood there while vitali pounded him for 10 rounds straight and couldnt even drop him but wilder did despite an injury.

Arreola and briggs both rate vitali high because they got pounded on all night so they think he hits harder than he does.

You may as well ignore him he'll be banned in under 2 weeks. Guy makes new accounts or reactivates old ones and has the same talking points while calling anyone who disagrees with him a casual. I mean he clearly has an agenda if he honestly thinks Ross Purrity is a better boxer than Ortiz or Fury lol.

Im 99% certain that if the people disagreeing watched a highlight reel of tysons knockouts before he won the titles they wouldn't be able to name a single opppnent off the top of their head!

God, the stupidity of posters like you. It's annoying and amusing at the same time. Still, as I read your scratch, it's amusing that I can see the slow ticks of each glacial movement of your mind, while you are completely in the dark for my motivation. You think I'm a "casual". Presumably that I'm a "fan boy" of Wilder. Very amusing.

You spout off these names like they are weapons, proof of your point. They aren't. They are just names. The fact is every era has its own contenders. While intelligent posters like me recognize that progress of sports and the size increase in HW's means H2H modern HW's are better than past HW's, we can also recognize that that isn't a fully fair way of looking at the legacy of a fighter. A fairer way is just to evaluate how the greats of an era have done against their own contenders. Wilder at this point has done a top job. He is clearly one of the Big 3 of the era. And his achievements to this point leave us with enough data to conclude that there is an excellent chance he has the greatest single punch power of all time. For all the reasons I noted in the first post that you responded to, the actual facts and points of which you completely failed to address. That said, thank you for your imbecility. It inspired me to make a new thread.

I was hoping you would quit the straw man logic on here but being a Wilder fan I guess not.

You said how was Ruddock a better boxer , I provided it , and most don't know he was also Holmes sparring partner and what I saw was better at the brief time., Unlike Wilder getting clowned by Haye.

I'm really not sure why to continue this convo, I always end up running you into dead ends ?

Wilder doing something right, he's getting guys on timing and pausing time for mistakes, this isn't actually boxing skills though, you probably don't understand this , I'm not shocked ?

you said you were great in the history section , ????Your still on about that but can't prove anything right now? What? Lol

Right you mean the beat up broken down Arreola who just got stopped by Bermaine Stiverne? Also the corner stopped the fight. Arreola was not down and out like he was against Stiverne you casual. Wilder dropped a washed up Arreola. You say this like it means something. You are such a casual that you give praise to Wilder for beating beat up has beens.

Right like you spout off names like they are weapons to prove your point. So what is your point? That you are in love with Wilder? That you are a casuals. You know Wladimir Klitschko fought in the 90s right and was a champion up until a few years ago right? You do realize he almost knocked out Anthony Joshua right? So based off what you are saying the human body evolves every 10 years? If that is the case casual then how did Wlad even compete with Joshua? Logic would dictate Wlad would of been destroyed because AJ is so much more advanced right?

Also casual there were tons of 6'5 plus guys since the 70's. But casuals like you only know Ali, Frazier and Foreman from that era. You aren't smart enough to check out any other fighters. There were tons of 6'5 guys in the 90's. As I stated Wlad turned pro in the 90's. Nobody ever referred to him as a super heavyweight. Nobody ever said because you are 6'5 a guy 6'3 couldn't beat you. That is what casual fans like you say because you heard a guy on TV say so. Boxers today aren't more skilled. Because the human body doesn't evolve every few years. Skill wise they are inferior because they don't take the sport serious enough. Most of these guys are over weight. If anything guys today seem less athletic. You look at guy like Micheal Grant who was a legit 6'8 250 and then you look at Tyson Fury a 6'7 250 pound guy. Grant is light years beyond him in skill and athleticism.

Yep Wilder is the biggest puncher of all time because he knocked out tomato cans who stand right in front of him. Lol the funny thing with the exception of Breazeale it usually take Wilder long to knock out these tomato cans than other people who fought those same tomato cans.

You posted no facts. You posted opinions about a man you have a sexual thing for.
