He has the luck of being in the lower weights were there's ( stupidly) a new weight class every measly 3lbs with 4 world champions. the term 'multi weight world champion' has a lowered watered down meaning in those lower weights, it's less of an achievement to be a 2 or 3 weight world champion, anyone of top ability should be that. For Inoues ability and power he should be 6 weight world champion, period.
He already looks a bit small at 118. Hes in his mid 20s, so I don't see him growing too much from here. I dont even think he'll get to 126

He weighed 131 in the ring against McDonnell so he can easily do super-bantam and probably feather as well. But I can't see him going any higher than that. I predicted that Rodriguez would be able to cause him big problems if he could take his power (and I did add it was a big if) and I think he did cause him some in the first round and I could see by the look in Inoue's eyes and his body language he felt a bit uncomfortable and was a little concerned. But obviously he came out in round 2 and blasted Rodriguez out of there in style. He could eat more food and increase his fight night weight though. That's what a lot of guys who plan on moving up in weight do. I remember Pacquiao weighed in at 129 fight night when he was at 122. But he had plans to go to Featherweight and fight more prestigious bouts. So he started eating more food. Kell Brook did the same thing for GGG fight. He started to eat more food. Roy Jones Jr. used that same method against John Ruiz. He ate a lot more to get his weight up.
Yeah I know I'm just basing it off what he currently weighs or at least did against McDonnell a couple of fights ago. He might have already gained a few pounds since then. I think he could possibly become a six-weight champion but could he beat the absolute best fighters at say 126 and 130, highly skilled elite ones who are really more like natural 135 pounders coming down and are really big and strong for the weight. Oh yea I agree. You can eat all you want to and gain all the pounds you want. At some point you run into bigger guys who carry the weight more naturally. I think Inoue can do 122 pounds easy. I think at 126 he will start to look noticeably undersized, but not crazy undersized. At 130-135 hes going to really have to overcome size.
Yeah, I don't doubt he has the skills and power to beat top class 126 pounders but can he take the power of a huge punching, huge 126 pounder? Loma is currently fighting in his third weight category but he's only rehydrating about 3lbs and he was only doing about 7 or 8 (9 once) when he was down at 130 so it's not like he was a huge 130 pounder either. 130 pounder Twink was almost 4lbs heavier for his last fight than what Loma weighs at 135 and fellow champ at 130 Berchelt was about 8lbs heavier than 135 pounder Loma when he fought that Japanese dude. Some especially huge 130 pounders rehydrate up to 150 on fight night and freakishly big ones (if they pull a McDonnell could even g all the way up to 155 (albeit I don't recall seeing that before even though it's likely happened) and some 135 pounders rehydrate up to 155 Bogere was 154 against Fortuna and even Fortuna had close to 10lbs on 135 Loma Lightweights Fortuna 147¾ - Bogere 154 So Loma could be giving away like 17lbs (or even possibly a little more against some of the biggest weight bullies out there) and that's an awful lot for a lightweight to give away. However, if they also happen to be serious KO artists and have elite skills it takes it to a whole nother level. That's what I fear could happen with Inoue if he pushes it one division too far and like Loma he's an aggressive fighter so he puts himself in the danger zone often.
