If the OPs statement is due to the Breazeale KO then we have to start there. I was extremely disappointed with Breazeale he showed absolutely no ringmanship whatsoever and I know he’s better than that. What the hell was he doing walking straight in and leading with a low, slow & sloppy left hook?? That’s tailor made for a Wilder right, one could be forgiven for thinking it was planned. Joshua Vs Wilder is not a 50/50 fight as some suggest, it’s a dangerous fight because Wilder does have power but could only win if he lands it multiple times because once won’t get it done. Many fighters have tasted that punch and got back up while we know from the Klitschko fight that Joshua has great punch resistance. Against fighters of higher quality Wilders power hasn’t had quite the same effect Ortiz and Fury both dealt with it despite a cumulation of power shots eventually seeing off Ortiz. Wilder also struggles against fighters with good boxing skills, Duaphas, Washington, Szpilka, Ortiz and obviously Fury were all posing Wilder big problems and the Hail Mary got him out of trouble. Joshua is a very good boxer, he is elite, he has a very good chin and he won’t make sloppy mistakes like Ortiz, Fury & Breazeale. Finally against Ortiz, when Wilder was out on his feet, he managed to smother Ortiz’s attempts to land the KO shot that would have dropped Wilder for good. He will not have the height advantage or anywhere near the upper body strength to do that to Joshua, if Wilder gets clipped Joshua will end it much like the Povetkin KO.
This. Wilder has a punchers chance but that's it. Wilder is as sloppy as it gets and still has no reliable jab. It would be Joshua's fight to lose.
I'm not - I'm seeing it as more competitive however. I honestly think that AJ is just more rounded and polished than Wilder, and it will be enough. It will be enough to ensure Joshua lands and when he does it's end game. Wilder just wouldn't handle the onslaught. It could go either way - of course - but my money is on AJ to pull through.
A knock out will occur. No way to know which one will lose. It is very possible Joshua will crack that egg shell and I am hoping he will.
Wilder truly has one punch power but AJ isn't Breazeale and will not just walk onto a shot from Wilder. Joshua wins as his a deadly finisher and I have no doubt he hurts Wilder early. Once AJ hurts a fighter it's over.
Wilder could land on AJ and could KO him. He won't though, you can't win a fight your too scared to fight in.
He landed 84 punches...total, to say he "whooped his ass" is just not accurate by any stretch of the imagination, especially when you factor in that he got dropped twice.
well he gave wilder a boxing lesson a lot of experts said wilder got exposed by his inability to box we all know wilder got power but that's all
Yeah he whopped his ass so bad that he landed a whopping 13 more punches got his face scared up and kissed the canvas twice. Ok.
I've always thought Wilder beats AJ, glad the rest of you are starting to see what I've always seen. AJ is risk averse with a feather fists, he certainly not going to take many risks against power wise this generation's Tyson. Wilder's chin is good enough to absorb AJ's jabs and pitty pat's, the reverse in all likelihood, is not true, especially when you consider everything Wilder throws is a power punch.
if you don't think fury outboxed wilder in that fight then im not going to waste my time convincing a wilder ass kisser
