Weak sauce man, expand a bit. You said stylistic. All Kirk said is that Pavlik is tall and long.

Hopkins wouldn`t have stoped GGG or Jacobs, Canelo has also stopped a super middleweight.

And what has your Golden boy done? Get a gift over a fighter you call an overhyped bum? Or was it the won over DJ, you know, the one who lost to 3G already...

You idiots don't realize the more you discredit 3G, the less meaningful the win is. You fanboys are the new fl.omos....

    And?

Rocky Fielding is as fragile as they come, Kelly Pavlik would have slaughtered him, B-Hop, Jacobs and GGG would too.

So we’re really comparing Danny Jacobs to Kelly Pavlik now.. Danny Jacobs gets too much credit for fighting close fights with Canelo and GGG ignoring that he also fought close fights with 154 lbers Sulecki, Mora, and Chenko, didn’t look good vs Arias.. There’s no comparison between the two on top of Pavlik having a 3 to 4 inch height advantage over Danny

Pavlik never beat anyone as good as Canelo or GGG and Jacobs didn't lose to D-Chenko or Sulecki, both of whom are talented. Mora wasn't even especially competitive. I'm also sure Jacobs would get better results against Martinez and an aging Hopkins, very possibly a win or draw along the way. Pavlik beat the best opponent between the two in Taylor, but apart from that Jacobs has the better resume and the GGG and Canelo fights don't hurt his standing. Pavlik and Jacobs are from the same tier of fighter. GGG and Canelo are from the one above it.

To those who think that Pavlik would be too much for Canelo, that he would beat Canelo, how do you think current GGG or Prime GGG would do vs Pavlik ?

Yes, that is all he said. Nothing about styles, which is what the other dude was talking about.

Don't be an ass and jump into conversations you know nothing about.

    Hmmm... I disagree.

I dont see a basis for favoring Canelo to beat Tarver.

Ive already picked Pavlik to beat Canelo.

Winky vs Canelo is a toss up.

Now if youre talking exclusively at middleweight, then you'd have a point except for the part where my post was emphasizing that Hopkins wouldnt just beat who Canelo beat, he would straight up outperform him.

Cotto, Trout, Lara... them vs Hopkins wouldnt even be close, let alone controversial.

I think prime G edges out Pavlik but I think the 35 year old G loses to him.

Depends on which version of Tarver you are taking about. Remember when he fought Hopkins he had just blown up to Heavyweight to shoot the Rocky movie and he was in terrible shape when he fought Hopkins. Canelo would wipe the floor with that lethargic out of shape unmotivated version of Tarver.

Now the version of Tarver that knocked out RJJ, that guy would be very difficult for Canelo or any other top MW. That in-shape super motivated version of Tarver was highly skilled and had some slick moves and fast handspeed. So when you talk about Tarver you gotta really look at which version you are talking about. The Tarver that Hopkins beat, there's a definite basis for a prime Canelo being favored against him. That was one of the worst versions of Tarver.
