I don’t understand. Crawford last month was doing one of his live app streams with fans and they said “how about Canelo.” Crawford said no, different weight classes etc...

Here in this video LL Cool J says Canelo vs Spence is like saying Canelo vs Wilder.

Canelo is 175lb in the ring... Wilder is about 225lbs in the ring. If Math serves me correct that’s 50lbs...

Spence walks around 180lbs. But he grinds to 147 and drains to make that division. So Errol wouldn’t need to drain to 147 if he were to fight Canelo. How much would Errol weigh on fight night at Middleweight? I’d say 168lbs.

    That’s bout 7 lbs....to Canelo.

I would say it closer to saying it’s like Spence vs Mikey Garcia.

Thing is Spence walks around 175-180 and isn’t a gym rat. I say during camp he trims to 160-165. Water weight shaved off 13-15lbs for the weigh in.

Yeah it's not a direct comparison but I totally get what's he's alluding to. It's a pointless fight. Both these guys got good fights to be made in their own weight classes. Why bother with this nonsense?

I wonder if he said the same of GGG vs Brook or Spence vs Garcia?

A problem with this method is, If Spence just decide not to melt down to 147, and instead stopped at 160, he'll look soft on the body. Not cut like he is at 147, or how cut canelo is in his weight.

Hagler, Hearns, SRL, Holyfield, Tyson, to name a few looked ripped. Canelo looks soft the same way DLH looked “ripped” at weigh ins but on fight night well-toned-an soft

LL sounds worried at what Canelo might do to Errol.

DLH looked soft in the belly in his first fight at 160, while looking ripped at 154. Hagler was a career MW. We're talking in this case or ESjr moving up 13 pounds to 160.

Guess what I'm getting at it's not just about losing weight from walking around weight. If Spence is to fight at 160, he'll have to add some hard mass as well. Otherwise he'll look soft at 160. He won't automatically look like he does at 147 if he jumped to 160 right away for a fight. That's why most guys tend to acclimate to the new weight division. Especially when it involves a jump of a couple of weights.

DLH is a 6 weight champ that bottled at 160. Even prime DLH at 147 looked way better than when he fought Floyd or PAC.

You do understand what we were talking about, yes? Because this post of yours actually proves my point. Spence Jr can't just stop losing weight near 160 and perform and look like he does at 147. Again, he'll be softer around the gut.

In reality the two are not that different sized from each other. The fight could be made easily. Hell, Pac's had fights where he dominated with more weight between the men than this.
