If Ali had Louis right hand id easily pick him to win. But Lewis could take the shots and i believe he had superior reach. Ali would have his hands full with a skilled, power punching SHW 35 pounds heavier and 3 inches taller.

He has the size, but he lost to Rahman and was it McCall? And he struggled with Mercer and Holyfield went 12 two times. I think Ali would find a way to win with a counter right hand. It would be tough for him fighting a big guy like that, but he would find a way.. Which Ali are we talking about?

Lewis beats Ali comfortably, to big and strong. Ali struggled with competent boxers who could jab, he never had a ko punch, hes no where near as strong, it really is rose tinted thinking Ali who couldn't beat Norton beats Lewis. In the clinch Ali gets rag dolled

Take a look at the fight in Zaire. Ali was holding his own with George Foreman in the clinches. Lewis wasn't a physical type of fighter anyway. They both would hold but ok Ali wouldn't have any trouble inside with Lewis.

    Would? That's debatable.

    Could? Yes, certainly.

Rose tinted, Lewis is quite clearly stronger, he doesn't let Ali hold as usual, and if he rips that uppercut on Ali it will cause damage. George in Zaire was noticeably stronger he just didn't have the iq to make the most of it, Lewis again is a lot bigger than Foreman with far more ring iq

A problem for me is, who is actually the best Lewis? 2000-Lewis slowed down but showed good ring-iq. So it might be 97/98-Lewis.

The only difficulty I see for Lewis winning a UD is his footspeed, which is needed to get his hands on Ali. From the legs up, I just see him doing more damage than Ali and winning more rounds.
Please donĀ“t call Terell, he was horrible.

Yes it's all about speed in this fight.
    I'm a huge Lennox fan.
Imo Lewis put too much emphasis on bulking up as he got older.
Younger Lewis looked better but had flaws.
Ali all the way , on points if nothing else.

I favour Ali, but I doubt he would win 10 out of 10.

It's all just speculation, without a time machine and a couple big wads of cash (which you could get quite easilly using the time machine), none of it's ever going to be proved in the slightest.
