Lewis and Wlad would have fought extremely cautious against Wilder

Of course they would've boxed conservatively. Both were better boxers, so it wouldnt make sense to open up for the sake of it when a Wilder nuclear powered haymaker can end it.

The game plan would be to wait for Wilder to wing it, get sloppy, then make him pay dearly for it. They didn't get to where they were by fighting dumb fights, and they learned from their mistakes.

Lewis was great against left hookers but his two losses were one shot jobs via straight right hands that were worse than what Wilder brings to the table.

Fans like to think like fans, but there's no reason for him to give Deontay literally his only chance to win by trying to be the Terminator from the opening bell. Golota and Grant weren't the one punch threat Deontay is.

He'd play it safe and capitalize when the opportunity inevitably presented itself, probably within the first 6 rounds.

The fact that Lewis and Wlad have been knocked out by lesser HW punchers with one punch, makes it a 50/50 fight with Wilder. It's clear Wilder has the power to KO both Wlad and Lewis. Even though they are both more skilled than Wilder, Wilder is an awkward fighter. He has a great chance at landing that straight right because both Wlad and Lewis are offensive minded fighters who doesn't have great defense. So it is a 50/50 pick'em fight.

why are mcall and rahman lesser than wilder, whose best win is 40something ortiz? They have both reached higher career points even when you exclude their lewis wins.

    Lewis destroys Wilder rather easily.
Wlad keeps cautious and wears him down with the jab and grab, then KO's him when he's drained.

If u read what I said, I said lesser punchers. That's facts! Neither were big punchers. Neither had one punch KO power. In fact, Rahman only accomplishment was a win over Lewis in which he got KO'ed in the rematch. Also had 9 loses and 2 draws. That not reaching higher career point than Wilder. Every other fighter with a name, he lost too. Now Mccall has a better resume than Wilder and has faced more champions, but lost to majority of them. I mean he was in a better era of HW competition. Again Wilder career is still going on and will be better as time goes on.

Nah Wlad would knock Wilder the **** out even better than he did in sparring when they were wearing 20oz gloves and headgear. Lol

And Corrie Sanders had faster hands and sneakier power than Wilder. Plus he was a southpaw. Different fighters. Prime Wlad KO’s both.

Both would have KO'd Wilder. Wlad would probably KO Wilder now.

Here we go with yesteryear fighters always beating current fighters no matter what yesteryear are always simply greater, how comical

Still think Briggs accidentally stood on Lennox's foot on point of impact... and being off balance, as much as the punch, made him stagger back. Going from memory here, but that's my recollection. Don't get me wrong though- still a great shot.

Lewis gets KO'd by single right hands twice, gets lit up by Vitali too. The idea Wilder wouldn't have a great chance of landing a huge right on Lewis is absurd, he would definitely have a great chance with such length and speed. And Lewis would be out cold.

Wlad had better defence later on, I guess he would probably win. But early Wlad would be at risk and late Wlad still leaned back to avoid these punches and lengthy Wilder might get through, even Haye did get a few on target by leaping in.

It's pretty obvious after the Fury fight that if Wilder can land on a guy with the best head movement and elusiveness in the division, he can potentially land on anyone. The idea he'll just be taken out by technically superior KO artists as a given is silly since in that case they start exchanging and it's who lands first.

Rachman wasn't a great puncher so to speak in general, but he could whack, his delivery was awful sometimes
