No. Louis picks him apart with his jab, and Floyd appears to be doing decently well for a time as Joe chisels away, until he picks his moment and lands a decisive shot, possibly while Floyd is closing in, and Floyd is hopelessly unable to get the toothpaste back in the tube.
    Louis KO 6.
I think it would look a lot like his fights with Liston only at a more measured pace.

I cannot picture anyway Patterson beats Louis outside a "Bolt from the sky" perfectly placed and timed leaping left hook prime vs prime. Louis wouldn't be at a size disadvantage and actually is taller with a longer reach. And one has to think Patterson's confidence issues and lack of a great chin would play a Hugh factor if Joe "The Brown Bomber" Louis was sitting in the opposite corner. Patterson would go into that 1st rd extremely tentative and thus lose the only chance he would have, and that would be to blitz Louis with one of those powerful left hooks catching him cold. But Patterson wouldn't attack a fighter Louis's caliber that way. He would come out respectful and mindful of who he's in with and his hesitance would cost him dearly. If the slower fist but possibly harder hitting Liston could blitz Patterson in the first rd, I believe the faster hand speed, better combination of speed AND power does the trick also . I don't believe the fight goes more than 3rds before Patterson is stopped.

Tyson wreck Louis?? I can’t see Patterson or Tyson beating Louis, since both are tailormade for Louis. Nobody with a weak inside game is going to beat Joe Louis.

Louis destroys Patterson and he'd beat Tyson too

Thats in reference to my 1991 Mike Tyson vs Prime Joe Louis thread where the general consensus was "Tyson wastes Louis"

Floyd Takes him in the first fight of a 3 fight series. Floyd was incredibly fast and had some power in his hook, he would catch Louis by surprise. The speed and style will confuse Joe early and Floyd would get a knockdown and possible KO . Louis even if survives, will struggle to win enough rounds , although he is coming on stronger at the end. Patterson by KO early or Dec win.

The second and third fights see Joe winning by KO over Patterson.

Paula Abdul had one of the top five hits for the entire year in 1991. Just a bad year for judgment all around.

I found Paula Abdul to be very attractive at that time. No one here really needed to know that but I just had to post that anyway.

Louis would have been one of the worst fighters in history to match Patterson against.

it all depends on how quick Joe want to end it- key with Patterson is to give him pressure and power-Floyd had fast hands but not strong against the power, pressure combo

Louis wins early, but I think has to get off the canvas to do it. Be a crazy number of knock downs.
