    You mean like how Ray Leonard used to do it?

    The fact is a lot of fighters past and present did it and do it that way. Its one of the ways to avoid legitimate threats who have not yet built a following for themselves.

    No real boxing fan had any interest in Floyd fighting an MMA fighter making his pro boxing debut. or him fighting that little japanese kid.
    Manny's legacy is head and shoulders above Floyd's you can forget Thurman. I hope & pray Manny still has enough left to kick Thurmans ass

    The interest may rise quickly but it wont get close to Manny Floyd levels in public interest at all. Neither guy fights enough nor has any signature wins that has wowed the public.

    I have a feeling that after the fight against Pacquiao on the 20th of July Keith Thurman will only be re-injured but will likely not fight again. The guy is on his way out looking to cash his chips.

    No-one has said that it would get as much interest as Mayweather - Pacquiao. Thurman said it could be the next Mayweather - Pacquiao type fight. He could easily have called it the next Canelo - GGG.

    We should wait and see how many buys Pacquiao - Thurman does to be honest. It could do better than expected.
