Idiot logic. Askren fought the best competition available to him, Page didn't.

Speaking of idiot logic you just compared MVP performance against Lima with that of a top end veteran like Rory.
    GTFO.

Despite your pathetic attempts there is no excuse for Askren, who at the time was claiming to be the best in the world but instead of testing himself chose to go and fight even lesser opponents at ONE FC

You were the one yapping about how much Lima supposedly struggled against Page despite being the heavy favorite to win the tournament. Rory is also in the tournament. I don't think you know what struggle or difficulty in MMA try is. Lima has had harder fights several times throughout his Bellator tenure.

Anyways. You've resorted to childish deflections now that I've been swatting away your laughable drivel.

Again showing your ignorance. Askren wanted to sign with the UFC when his Bellator contract ended but didn't because Dana is a manchild who refused to sign him. He went with One because they gave him a good offer. Are you going to continue posting Ill informed nonsense?

My beliefs on Lima being the favourite to win the whole tournament have more to do with Rory fight with Fitch then anything Lima did against MVP who he was always supposed to beat easily.

How can anyone justify scoring rd 1 to MVP ? Not a lot happened on the feet early, Mvp landed a few glancing blows whilst moving around a lot and Lima landed some solid leg kicks THEN with about 2.40 left in the rd MVP rushed Lima who then clinched MVP and put him on his back where he stayed for the rest of the round. Neither guy did anything whilst on the ground, mvp held on to Lima's wrists for dear life. Very impressive grip strength though BUT that is purely stalling the fight, he could have tried to get to his feet/land elbows on Lima or look for subs. On the feet it was EVEN and the ground battle HAS to be given to Lima as he took MVP down and kept him down for half the round whilst MVP stalled the fight ending the rd.

10-9 Lima imo. I don't see how you can score rd 1 to mvp.

It's irrelevant I guess as he got the KTFO but the fact is that the majority of the experts scoring the fight scored the 1st round slightly for Page,I can totally understand why you and some scored it for Lima as it was a close round despite what has been said in here

That's a false narrative you had been painting about MVP who had actually fought the best available opponents on the Bellator roster except for Koreshkov and the champ Rory

MVP had fought ONE worthwhile opponent in Paul Daley in about 9 or 10 Bellator fights up until his ko loss. There is ZERO reason why he couldn't have also had a few fights with guys like Lorenz Larkin, Jon Fitch etc etc. He also only just squeaked by Daley 3-2 imo. Half way through the 5th rd it was Daley's fight to lose then MVP reversed position, landed a few strikes on the floor to get the win. I've always enjoyed watching mvp fight myself but even his biggest fans know he was taking the complete pi$$ with his level of opposition year after year after year. Also don't forget the boxing nonsense fighting guys who are 2-12 etc etc. It turned into an absolute farce.

When he takes a break and fights again it had better not be average journeymen he faces.

Fitch only just signed up to Bellator not long after Larkin and both guys are ranked behind MVP,those are decent match ups now but my point stands about him fighting the best available on the roster

    Well well well surprise surprise.

I just read that MVP's comeback fight in Bellator is against a guy called Richard Kiely (WHO) who has a record of 3-1 with NONE of his 3 wins being opponents with a winning record. MVP really is a complete joke.

No reason why he should not be fighting solid welters like Lorenz Larkin or Jon Fitch etc etc. So people might say "well he only just got brutally ko'd" etc etc. Yeah but the guy has spent his whole career just fighting bums and journeymen and you want him to continue with that. The guy really is a complete joke at this stage.

I was just going to make a thread on this but no point considering you made this post! Typical. 3-1 fighter with little experience with wins only against scrubs
Page will ice this guy inside a round and then proclaim himself as one of the best of the division while calling.everyone out only to take on corpses again for another 2-3 fights. If Coker had any balls he will try match him with the Koreshkov/Larkin winner after this.

    @Zakman Not your preferred
sport but you would really loathe everything about this guy. From his arrogant clowning against overmatched opponents to outright coddled career
Pathetic glass chin to boot! FYI he has briefly flirted with boxing fighting for David Haye.
