Deontay Wilder would obviously sooner make MUCH less money to fight journeymen and faded old guys. Dillian Whyte would sooner take a lower payday and face someone else. Luis Ortiz refused his chance, and is making less money to fight Wilder. Tyson Fury doesn't seem to want a massive payday to fight the champ, and instead is fighting a soft opponent in Schwartz. Jarrell Miller was afraid to fight him clean, so loaded up on PEDs and got caught.
The mcdonalds master Andy Ruiz didn't take too long to sign the contract. In fact all the obese fatties are lining up for their shot to take a crack at the bodybuilder Joshua.
I would like to sign up, I am not a heavyweight, but can lay down for 6 million. I am available Monday-Fridays including weekends. I am available to start immediately.
True, though to be fair his career was going nowhere, it's been 2.5 years since the Parker fight and since then he's only fought 3 times against Vargas, Johnson and Dimitrenko. Andy should thank Miller for being such an idiot and giving him this shot, he would have never gotten this fight if Joshua and Hearn had not been caught out needing a late replacement.
Definitely man, he seems over the moon about it as well win-win for him. He seems like a good guy, so he deserves it. Miller can eat dirt.
Is Joshua the most avoided? Debatable clearly some of the top guys with something to lose don't want it without either a ludicrous payday and even when offered a ludicrous pay day seem to want to take less risky fights for less money. But Lewis was ducked by Bowe in the infamous trashing of the WBC belt, had Tyson pay him step aside money then give up a belt so he could fight Holyfield instead of Lewis. Moorer also wanted no part of Lewis stating he had no desire to unify. How about Liston in his prime, was frozen out for years before finally getting a shot. Then of course we had the era of the colour bar when white champions ducked all the top black heavyweights.
I don't even know what to think at this point, I am finding it hard to understand why guy's are turning down huge career high ( and by career high we are talking career high by a landslide) pay day's to fight him and to fight for all the belts. I have gone back and forth with who i think is at fault, who is ducking or who's team/promoters are stopping the fight. There has been shady **** from both sides imo, The most recent wilder team announcing the ortiz rematch after team AJ put out in the media they are going to go ham calling out wilder after the ruiz fight, You can argue wilder made this announcement because to avoid the pressure but at the same time you can argue that team AJ already knew the ortiz fight was next so they planned to go ham calling out wilder demanding the fight was next already knowing it can't be next because the ortiz fight is already a done deal. i just don't know what the **** to think anymore. The only thing like i say i am surprised about is hearn has made big offers to all of the top guy's wilder, fury, ortiz etc, nobody else is making offers, the whole thing is just becoming a joke now tho, mofo's just need to ****ing fight each other.
EASILY . Guys were jumping even at 2 million to fight Mike Tyson, you got another so called baddest man running from120 million and he has a 95 % K.O percentage too, its not like its a boxer vs puncher where Wilder cant hurt him . You also have a 6'9 guy holding claim to an IMAGINARY title just to NOT fight AJ coming back to boxing demanded 60% and on top of that fought the other guy who is NOT AJ. lol HW boxing has never see two other undefeated guys run away from the SAME guy . Im not even getting into the other guys ,they ride the same boat. Theres your answer.
It' hard to say as in previous generations it offers weren't as publicised as they are now. Clearly AJ is the most publicied avoided HW. Wilder turned down: $15m 65/35 60/40 $100m 3 fight deal including twice against AJ. Ortiz turned down £5.5m Whyte turned down over £5m Fury turned down £15m Kownacki turned down career high pay day too.
But that's about champions being unwilling to fight the best, more like what Deontay Wilder is doing. Anthony Joshua is the rare example of a champion with three major titles being avoided by CONTENDERS.
