A smoke and mirrors career?? Titles won English title Irish title British title European title IBF title WBA super duper mega title WBO title Ring title And should have the green belt to add to that collection. I would say that’s a pretty damn good career for someone with 28 fights.
If Wilder had faced Joshua instead of Ortiz and Fury, he would have made 100 mil all in all. As it stands, I hear he made 10 mil on Breazale, but doubt he's going to make 90 on Ortiz and Fury combined. More like 50. And the Fury fight is a risky one. Heck, even Ortiz is a somewhat risky one. If he gets through those fights, and there might be a rematch with Fury signed in, then he's up for some serious, serious bucks with Joshua, though. If Joshua doesn't stumble in the mean time, against Whyte or Usyk for instance. So there's plenty of "ifs" for Wilder to get that.
Of course on the face of things its a nice list of honors, though you fail to go into greater detail in who actually he beat and conveniently omit the robberies which went in his favor. Not to mention the advantage he would have held from his indulging in roids and the amount of fights which he has shirked. Most of us are also all familiar of course, with the fact that he was finely and convincingly beaten by domestic title holder John Mcdermot. A fight which cultists such as yourself seem to have blotted from memory. We also know that currently he only has 1 credible win on his record against a 40 year old depressed and mentally distracted Wladimir while Fury's own body was brimmed with anabolic steroids All others you would not bother to speak of in name. As for the green belt, only someone who knows nothing of boxing would believe he should have that around his waist. Had there been a competent referee who knows how to honor the rules of boxing, then fury would not have seen the final bell. A fortune which can only be acredited to one rogue redneck referee whose compass for the match centered around the words which he uttered ''I really don't care who wins this fight, but I care about Tyson Fury'' With such a brazen corrupt remark, it was inevitable that the referee was going to do all he could to help Fury in whatever way that he could, save throwing himself in front of Fury's body to block the punches coming from Wilder.
Fury was fighting a tough McDermott as a 22 boy with 7 pro fights. McDermott coming off two close MD and SD losses to Danny Williams. Still, fury got his hand raised and then rematched him and stopped him. He was in Ibiza partying 3 weeks prior to the fight. Unprofessional and his own fault, but that’s what I was doing when I was 22. Forgot he also won the commonwealth title. He has won literally every title there is to win, including the magical lineal title
Also who was wilder fighting on his 10th fight? 20th? 30th? Man....it’s just a list of nobodies. The only two credible defences he had was Ortiz (shady) and fury (made to look like an amateur ( wilder with a 17% connect ratio on a fat fury haha)
This feels suspicious to me...what about the Showtime/ESPN situation? Surely Showtime will absolutely hate the idea of their crown jewel fighting on ESPN. I think this is a load of nonsense to send a message out to AJ to say 'hands off, you're not fighting Wilder or Fury'. And wait a second...Fury pulled out of the mandatory fight against Whyte! ONCE AGAIN, the Wilder Bodyguard Council are ignoring Whyte. I've had enough of this now. Whyte should keep pushing them. They want Whyte to fight AJ again so he's out of the picture. He should keep the pressure on the WBC and eventually they will have to give in. All this seems very fishy.
Not interested in Wilder fighting anyone outside of AJ, Whyte, Povetkin, Parker, Usyk, Gassiev, Hrgovic, Hunter, Pulev, Joyce, Dubois and Ruiz Jr. It's all just a duck and delay tactic by Wilders management to avoid AJ and Whyte for aslong as possible.
Fury would beat everyone you listed......... Fury vs Wilder is a better and bigger fight than any vs any of the opposition you listed with the exception of one involving Joshua. You don’t honestly believe what you typed.
Apparently it's going to be a ESPN/Showtime joint PPV event, which seems strange didn't think this fight had enough money in it to get 2 rival networks to work together. Does seem odd Showtime would agree to this, even ESPN agreeing to it seems odd considering how much they are paying for exclusive rights for Fury. Plus Fury has tweeted twice today since Wilder made his announcement and not mentioned a thing about a Wilder fight being signed. Right now I'm not sure what to think. I doubt Wilder would make this up, he'll be ripped to shreds if it is proved untrue. I'm kind of optimistic that this is true but I also wouldn't be shocked if it was all just a PR stunt.
This is exactly the same way I am thinking right now. I really hope it’s true but something seems off with it. Fury hasn’t confirmed it yet and it’s been doing the rounds a while now, that has set alarm bells ringing I have to admit but surely Wilder wouldn’t announce the fight has been signed when it hasn’t.... he’d be a laughing stock.
