I am happy Hearn got humbled, he needs to learn what it feels like on the outside looking in...

Now other fighters have a chance to get to the cashcow position without getting lowballed.

Dillian Whyte will be over the moon, as will Wilder.

Joshua has lost this fight the same way wilder could have lost his last fight. They both made the very same mistake, they hurt their oponents, they went for a kill completelly opened, and they both were caught. Wilder could fix it, and joshua couldnt. Joshua was about to ko ruiz when he went full berserker and got timed, from this moment on, he had nothing.

Joshua leaves himself too open when he exchanges on the inside. Takam was landing at will, but didn’t have the power to hurt Joshua while Ruiz did.

Don't blame the ref, AJ did a khan.

He wanted out and the ref simply provided the way.

Yeah I agree, AJ got hit, got hurt, got dropped, and couldn't find a way to hurt Ruiz again and realised Ruiz wasn't going anywhere and didn't fancy it any more.

"AJ lost because he had a cold and a sty in his eye." etc. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Don't be a Matchroom shill, Tony: you're better than that.

Andy smashed Joshua to bits and broke him mentally. That's all there is to it.

Feeling out, they open up. Ruiz gets dropped by a left hook, more off balance than anything to me. Joshua opens up and gets caught, dropped twice and barely makes it out of the round. Ruiz lets him go for the next couple of rounds. Then Ruiz starts going to the body, hurt Joshua to the body and took the life out of him. Next round Ruiz drops him twice, Joshua is scrambled and can't respond appropriately the ref, it gets waved off.
Ruiz basically outboxed him, Joshua was stupid and didn't throw body punches.

Wlad was always too cautious. He had the physical gifts of a champion. But, he never had the true heart of a champion.

I am shocked that Ruiz stopped him TBH. Liakovich's punch resistance was completely gone when he fought Ruiz and I don't think he was ever in trouble of being stopped. Does AJ have that bad of a chin?

    Joshua's chin is horrible.
It was a different opponent. Joshua failed to give Ruiz the respect he deserved.
That is exactly right. Joshua should have kept Ruiz on the end of the jab all night long, just as he did with Parker, another fast-handed fighter. He was heinously guilty of complacency and smugness in the face of Ruiz, who he underestimated to an enormous and calamitous degree.
