Ruiz won’t be champ for long? Based on what? I remember early on when he was talked about as a phenom with his hand speed and combinations. I lost track of his career and I missed the Parker fight. But the fact that was a split decision that many felt Ruiz won shows that he was up there. He has no other losses, he showed great handspeed, combinations, chin, and power. No one will beat him easily. Maybe Usyk and Fury, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him do the exact same thing to Wilder that he did to Joshua. Styles make fights and we have an amazing era of heavyweight boxing. Ruiz proved he is legit.
Although this thread is an anti-Wilder troll, the point stands. This is exactly why you don't marinate fights.
No! Ruiz messed up Wilder's huge payday. Wilder and AJ are not Mayweather and PAC. Since the "0" is gone, Wilder will be lucky to make 10 million for the AJ fight. Still a lot of money.
This did kill the appeal of Wilder vs Joshua. We also know that Wilder is certainly beatable but having two guys with zeros face each other is a major factor for casual fans. At least this makes Wilder vs Fury 2 more important, and the winner will still have to answer to Ruiz at some point. Then there is Usyk. The heavyweight division is great.
AJ is calling Trump right now asking how he let that Mexican make him quit. AJ spit out his gum shield he’s a quitter. Straight up quit lol.
Only a complete loser low life pos hater can turn this historic night into a "let me take this opportunity to bash DW" even though its not about him tonight. You hate dW, we get it.
Compare the resume of Wilder and Joshua at the amount of fights that Joshua has and ask yourself if Wilder fought that same resume at the time that Joshua did, how many losses he would have.
What matters now is HW unification is easier to do this time. Ruiz and Wilder are both PBC fighters. Won't be surprised if Wilder forgoes the Fury rematch in favor of a Ruiz fight.
