Why wasn't AJ mad/or upset after his loss?

The truth is, I believe AJ in a strange way was relieved he lost. I mean it sure looked like it on his face after the bout. This man was undoubtedly under a mass amount of pressure to live up to the billing. People werent just saying he was the best heavyweight, they were calling him the biggest star in boxing today! But all the glitz and the glamour, a whole country backing him...he had to potray himself as this undefeated #1 heavyweight of the world who is the second coming of Jesus when in reality, AJ is just a solid good fighter. He was lucky that he fought a past his prime Wlad(who arguably was winning the fight) and he never looked truly impressive in any other fights since then. I always thought his chin was suspect and not only is that confirmed after this bout, it may be even worse than I originally thought. And lack of stamina is clearly evident and could be a steriod link who knows...! But to me, I always thought AJ was clearly a hypejob all along yet oddly I couldn't help but feel kinda bad for him...
What a start to the summer!!!

He was just glad it was over. Can’t remember seeing a boxer so done on his feet as AJ was then. He was proper knackered.

He is happy that he doesn't have to fight Deontay Wilder and get knocked out even worse.

Ruiz sparked him out. Wilder would've ended it with one punch.

Because he's a racist @ssh*le, and his racist comments were scrubbed from the internet and shut down by his powerful backers, when Tyson Fury gets s**t for simply pointing out who controls the media.

Yeah, I've been saying this for a year or two now.
He's been so hugely hyped and overrated and marketed that he was clearly aware that his actual ability would never match the hype and popularity, and I said I while ago he'll probably feel some relief when he loses.

Everyone responds differently to defeats, maybe it was him feeling embarassed by getting demolished in his US debut. I'm from NYC, specifically the upper east side and I've been to the garden at least 100 times. That entire building was filled up with Brits last night, there were very few native NY'ers in that arena. AJ must've really been humiliated by that performance in front of a lot of his countrymen.

The 'superior' one got beat by an obese Mexican. Keep the lil b*t*h away from Dustin Nichols.

Very true, he never really truly recovered from the very first knock down...

I am pretty sure he is upset and mad on the inside but he is a real man and does not have to show his emotion on the outside. He is a great character and treated Ruiz with respect congratulating him on his performance. This defeat was avoidable but he made technical mistakes in the fight some of which he made against Povetkin as well.
