Guy is a triumph of marketing prowess and media repetition except he’s so horribly limited in the ring - Chinny - robotic - no gastank- that they were always going to run out of Shot/old/retired/midgets to feast upon.
Because he’s from America and so the fight was at home He might say he’s Mexican but so what. Loads of Irish American boxers say they are Irish but no one in Ireland cares.
How have the others been facing each other constantly. Yes fury and wilder did with each other once - when fury was desperate to get back in and wilder thought he was shot - other than that it’s all been ****.
Strange to be so pedantic about it but ok - he says identifies as a Mexican heavyweight champion. Obviously with the budget behind a Joshua rematch, they could market it fantastically well in Mexico to make it an enormous event. It's a moot point though because the rematch will be in the UK.
In the UK boxing matches can fill 90k football stadiums, the fight should have been over here from the start, boxing is dead in the US in comparison to over here.
Give Whyte the Ruiz fight, hope Whyte wins it, by either jobbing Ruiz like he did Parker, or landing that big left counter. Then give AJ Whyte, who’ll be an easier fight for AJ then Ruiz.
