Because people take great pleasure in mocking others misery.

Most like to kick a man when he's down.

We build them up and then break them down.

Its like anything else in life, most like the underdog and want them to achieve, but when they achieve too long we want to see their downfall.

I don't know why that is but it's how the world works.

I would say I'm an AJ fan, he got beat fair and square and was exposed for his stamina issues but no need to slate the guy. He got in the ring and got beat. Why the need to slaughter him I don't know but hey that's the world we live in.

The way Wilder has carried on since last night makes me want to see him smashed up. Is he a robot controlled by Chris Rock?

Hearn called Wilder a keyboard warrior and has trashed him in numerous interviews. No wonder Wilder is gloating.

The irony of Wilder’s tweets re: AJ. Described his own career to a tee.

I'm not an Aj fan or do I hate him. But I've seen through all the hype form ages. He's just not a very good boxer and was found out, he also quit so what is there to defend?

Apparently the bodybuilder was out partying with the bomb squad, the night before he fought Ruiz. I hope they didn't spike Joshua's drink. Lol.

The hype around AJ always pissed me off. 'Who's the better heavyweight, AJ or Lewis?' and all that casual nonsense. It got out of hand way too quickly and that sort of stuff irritates me when I know better. He's not even the best current British heavyweight. Fury is a better fighter; bigger, fitter, better boxer, better chin, better ring IQ and never quit in his career. Only thing AJ has over him is power.

I've rated AJ highly since the Parker fight. Before that I saw huge holes in his game and I was surprised what happened last night hadn't happened earlier in his career. However, he polished up his game and credit to him. Parker and Povetkin are solid wins. Last night he reverted to type and I felt a satisfaction seeing unfold what I'd predicted long ago.

In short, I was never on the AJ hype train. When I started to believe he let me down. Typical! Although I've been impressed so far with how he's handled the loss so respect to him. I'm satisfied with seeing the hype burst and my initial assessment of him turn out to be true. A quality but very vulnerable fighter.

People on here are just showing bad taste in kicking a man when he is down (AJ), calling him a fraud, a fake...

Ridiculous, he ain't a bad boxer, he is still up there in the top. Just that Ruiz Jr has emerged as a better, stronger man in the division.

AJ and his entire team got humbled, and rightly so.

AJ got exposed last night, for his weaknesses it was inevitable, because he didn't do anything differently. AJ is not a demigod, he is there to be beat by fighters like Ruiz Jr.

I’m very sad for AJ I really am - it hurt me to see his face when it was waved off.
    That’s it really.

because most boxing fans are fickle and turn at the drop of an a hat

I've never really rated AJ,always seen fury as no.1,but if I was a big AJ fan I wouldlnt suddenly turn on him

If you can't support someone through bad times then don't support them at all

Must be a sickner though for those that massively overrated him for reasons known only to themselves

What is there to stick up for, he underestimated ruiz and thought he'd just roll over. It was totally unprofessional imo. Joshua should not be getting knocked out by Andy Ruiz.

Really weird that. Was listening to Frampton and Haye on 5 Live and they were both saying it seemed very strange the way he was handling the loss in the ring after. Fair play that he hasn’t come out with a load of excuses etc though.
