Because they don't want to be attached to something negative, look at the instagram box tickers these days you never see many posting their having a **** day or any negative stuff. Its all got to be staged and look like they are living this great life. Load of bollocks !

I am delighted Andy ruiz Jr humbled Joshua, lets be honest he needed it as did Apples n Pears Eddie.

**** Joshua he was paid plenty for it and all the guys he KO'd and beat up were slated also so be a good little ***** AJ and suck it up !

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

AJ was just trying to stay positive afterwards and credit to him. A lot of people hoping he would fail. Why give them more satisfaction by sulking and whinging?

AJ and Fury have both behaved very gentlemanly and respectfully after last night, then you see Wilder, "Deontay, there's black American stereotypes that you need to play up to, here's your phone, all social media logged on, get to work......"

Because he's got a massive reach advantage, he should have kept him at the end of his jab all night and would eventually break ruiz down. The only way ruiz can beat Joshua was in a shoot out where his speed came in to play.

I’m a little baffled by the ‘quit’ references i’m seeing, do people really think he quit? To me, he’d just got knocked down for the 5th time and wasn’t fit to carry on or take in the referee’s instructions.

The thing is with Ruiz's pressure that game plan went out the window there was no plan B,

Joshua is meant to be the big bad powerhouse elite athlete he should have more in his tool box than just jabbing his way to victory.

I’ve always been an AJ fan but was honest and well aware of the underlying frailties that made him exciting. However, the delay leaving the dressing room, AJ frantically chewing on his mouthpiece, his demeanour leaning up against the ropes and ignoring McCracken’s instruction to shadow box (warm up) alerted me early that all was not well. He was so passive in the opening round that it was eerie and was acting like a schoolboy amateur in the corner. Something is surely going to come out?

I don't get that he quit. He was on his feet and if the referee had said carry on I'm sure he would have. I don't think it would have lasted much longer though.

I am just genuinely disappointed with the result and the performance. I was hoping he was going to be a special fighter from the uk. The fears about stamina and weak chin came a reality last night.

I didn't mean just jab his way to a boring points win but use the jab to find his range and then unleash bombs from distance, he hurt ruiz and got reckless like in the Wlad fight but this time he didn't get let off.

To me he looked like he half quit. If he’d really wanted to continue fighting he wouldn’t have been looking so casual in the corner. It seemed like he was unsure if he wanted to carry on and the ref saw that and stopped the fight.

AJ spoke about being a warrior and bouncing back in his post fight interview but that wasn’t the stoppage of a warrior.

Whilst the lack of excuses is commendable, it’s almost as if he doesn’t understand the magnitude of the loss or doesn’t care enough. As others have said, his reaction to the loss has been very strange.

AJ seems too manufactured, almost like Hearn’s brainwashed him into this political correct choir boy who lacks the necessary fight and desire when it gets tough.

Forgetting their boxing ability for a moment, I could never imagine Whyte or Chisora ‘giving up’ in the manner AJ appeared to.

The referee clearly wanted him to walk forward and show a bit of enthusiasm. He chose to lean back on the ropes. He was looking for a way out beforehand. I understand he was confused and gassed to bits but it looked like he chose not to carry on. I don't blame him for not going on, it was brutal, but there's fighters out there who would've tried to continue. We've seen guys in worse condition try to continue.

Yeah, fair enough, I get that. I think he didn’t have a clue what was going on. I’ve just watched it for a 3rd time...every time Joshua opened up and landed on Ruiz, Ruiz had something coming back.

I was an admirer of Ruiz before this fight. Loved his come forward style, uncannily a little bit like Canelo. Unbelievable fast hands...just still can’t believe he could hurt Joshua like he did. I thought he’d have his successes but every time he landed it seemed like a bomb.

The quit wasn't embarrassing or anything, but it occured. Wasn't like the towel was coming in. He certainly didn't have to be protected from himself.

It's absolutely brilliant to see the top three become the top four. The more the merrier!
