Joshua looked a different fighter last night? I wonder why?

I don't want to speculate on that, but I've just watched the fight again.

In the corner at the end of the 6th round, he asked Robert McCracken "Why am I feeling like this?"

He was in complete disbelief at what was happening.

 

He wasn't a different fighter, nothing changed AT ALL prior to the fight.

Once he got dropped twice, he changed... because something very new happened to AJ and he got exposed.

Remeber AJ had a cold when he beat Povetkin, so if there was an excuse we would have known,

 

Besides, what do you mean risk anything in the UK? This was his USA debut, this was the next big chapter... how could they let AJ go to USA without PEDS if he was used to being on PEDS in UK? Look how devastated Hearn is, he NEVER wanted this outcome.

Truth is, AJ was never on PEDs. He just lost to stronger fighter. We should celebrate Ruiz victory.

 

Well you can believe what you want, I am positive AJ did not underestimate Ruiz prior to. And yeah Klitckho has the one good punch, and that was it.

He let AJ recover and AJ whooped his ass.

Ruiz hits ****ing hard, don;t tell me Ruiz does not have power in his shots. He threw more often than Klitchko and Whyte with his power shots because of his speed and mexican style. Klitckho has the right hand that he times, like one missile then he recharges. Ruiz threw all ****ing day when AJ got close.

Yesterday was DEFINITELY something new for AJ. He has never been hit hard as often as he did yesterday and he broke down. This is the blue print to beat him.

Whyte and Klitchko stunned AJ ONCE. But no stamina to follow up. Whyte was in bad conditioning and, Klitchko was too old to push the pace, but he he never thew hard shots as fast and as often as Ruiz did even in his younger days.

 

He looked different last night because he was getting beaten down.

 

I was absolutely gobsmacked, how does a 6,6 247lbs behemoth of a man get pushed back and be on the back foot against someone like Andy Ruiz but alas there it was happening. I cant write Joshua off as a hype job yet until the rematch, I have watched boxing long enough to know sometimes these things happen. For example if Fury was to lose to Tom........(whats his name) I wouldn't write Fury off as a hype job based on his accomplishments. In order to gauge the true merit of a man you have to do it over a period of time and the span of his career. Reality has slowly kicked in for a lot of AJ fans, no one is truly invincible and in boxing despite who your opponent is always have a gameplan. What AJ does in the rematch will determine his overall legacy, he definitely needs to change his style up and focus heavily on his stamina or better pacing himself.

 

I think you should take it easy on such malicious accusations. They are unfounded.

Greats have lost before in their primes
Lewis, Tyson, klits lost multiple and still came back to be the most dominant champ of his era.

One lapse in judgement or mistake is all it takes in this game, especially heavyweight.

 

Ruiz was just simply faster and crisper, and AJ is a static target. Andy will do the same thing in the rematch. He wasn't intimidated by AJ's size and power, he just went out and let it rip. I can see Ruiz stopping him again, I don't think AJ can deal with his hand speed.

 

Have you boxed before? Don’t even mean it as an insult, but getting hit where he did just completely rattled him and he couldn’t get it back together, it happens in heavyweight boxing. I still favour AJ in the rematch if he seriously works on his cardio and sorts himself out mentally. It was almost like the fight last night was a holiday to America for him.

 

Definitely, casuals be like "wake up joshua omg why didn;t he do this or that"... taking heavy shots like that drains your soul... when you are tired you need a clear head to push through with stamina, when you are rattled digging deep with stamina just ain't easy .

 

I fully agree, rematch same result, this is no quick fix for AJ... Ruiz did everything right in that fight, because that is who he is. He didn't win by luck.

Joshua is way too static, and I was screaming for him to get on the defensive and jab to a UD like Lennox or Klitckho.... but that just ain't AJ style... he is unnatural with the Jab... he has to come inside and exchange... and he paid the price every time.

 

He’s one of the most tested athletes in the world whether the fights in the U.K. or the US is irrelevant.
