Fury was dropped in the 9th and almost flatlined by Wilder in the 12th yet within about a minute not only risen and found his legs actually finished the fight on the front foot, AJ was dropped in the 6th by Klitschko and took a good 3 rounds to find his legs and last night after being dropped in the 3rd hadn’t fully recovered 10 minutes later after a fairly slow pace in round 4/5 especially. What do you put Joshua’s seemingly slow recovery down too? Chin issues? Cardio? Excess muscle? Inability to compose himself? Can it be rectified or will it always be the case that when he is tagged hard there a big window where he will essentially be a sitting duck?

Still say his body shuts down completely when he gets hurt. Speed and power goes. Whyte and klitchko had him down to a snail pace with a single shot. Joshuas staminas actually quite decent for a big man imo tho. Its when he gets hurt it totally leaves him.

I say its a chin issue. Without being hurt he can do the 12 no problem. He can also fight at a pace. But that changes when he gets hurt.

The only time he did 12 was against Parker and that was fought and pedestrian pace with Joshua being very conservative with his output and Parker not really posing any threat. On the back foot and not at his own pace that gas tank empties rapidly. I agree he almost seems to shutdown mentally once hurt he gets wide eyed panicky and devoid of any composure.

Depends on the punch, Joshua seems to get rattled by left hooks .He recovered fine with Whytes so ? Either Ruiz hits much harder then thought ( he is a power puncher ) or AJ just was ina fog? Maybe both ? Recovering against a klitschko right hand from hell was FAR more devastating and he showed excellent ring IQ and never even been past 7 rounds prior to that fight ....not so much here ,the ring IQ seemed gone .

Definitely seemed somewhat lost last night either nerves or overlooking Ruiz definitely played a huge part, the actual shot he took from Klitschko was monsterous the only reason he wasn’t finished though is because Klitschko perhaps hurt and gassed slightly himself barely threw his hands After the KD. Ruiz on the face of it seemed a good puncher but not on the same level as a Povetkin or even probably a Whyte, maybe the Power is what shellshocked him.

Gypsy vs non-gypsy? That's hardly a fair comparison.

Fury getting up from that 12 round kd is a freak event and not a skill that he can repeat at will. And he was wining that contest, not getting beaten up. That as to play on some subconsius level or voodoo, gypsy magic.

AJ after getting caught and slowed, was receiving a counter left hook after most straight he threw. Wether they landed or not they landed and that was pretty much there gameplan being taken away.

Lol I don't think you know what stamina means. Getting hit in the chin one time won't make your stamina leave your body. Joshua has horrible stamina, can't take a punch, has no heart, and can't recover from being hurt quickly.

Joshua can fight at a pace. His fight with whyte was a frenetic pace. Klitchko again. 12 against parker. Late against takam. The only time hes been flagging was when whyte hurt him. And klitchko. I still say people missed klitchko,s left hook he caught joshua with that started his slow down. People thought it was the pace of the fight. It was the left hook. Think froch caught it in the commentary. Not many others did tho. Joshua was going in for the finish and got caught with it. Then shuts down for rounds afterwards. Same as against whyte he dealt with the pace the problems started when he was buzzed. Think ruiz caught him with a temple shot. Then hes struggled to get back into it. The guys got chin issues. Guys with bad stamina dont fight at the pace hes shown before and do 12 rounds etc. The chin gets him and his stamina leaves him for me. Its a massive problem for him.

Lol everything, chin, stamina, heart, composure after getting hurt. He was over rated as hell. Had Wlad been younger the 2017 fight would have turned out differently.

Dont be an idiot. Joshuas aheavyweight champion. Beat klitchko. Beat povetkin. Parker. Whyte. Takam. Olympic champion. And your telling me he has no heart. Horrible stamina etc. The guys staminas good for his size. He can fight at a pace but like bruno before him his system shuts down when hurt. Bruno was the same but his brain clmpletely deserted him as well when hurt. Joshuas mindstayx clear enough his functions slow completely tho. Its not a stamina issue its a chin issue. Always has been.

He does seem to panic when hurt and doesn’t react like a some maybe more natural fighters, however I’m talking about the lack of strength in his legs almost like he’s full of lactic acid and can’t shake it, that happens when caught but to seemingly last for rounds at a time seems unusual for a top 3 HW it appears a physical issue more so than mental.

Lol didn't somebody just type the same thing? Why do grown men get so defensive over other grown men on TV who don't know you exist. Charles Martin was a heavyweight champion. It means nothing now days. Wow AJ beat a washed up Alexander Povetkin and Wladimir Klitscko? Being a good Olympian doesn't equate to being a good pro. Carlos Takam is a low level fighter. Dillian Whyte is nothing special at all. Joseph Parker is even less special and most people think he lost to fat Mexican cab driver Andy Ruiz.

There has been numerous heavyweights much bigger and in much better shape who actually did have good stamina. For example Michael Grant. Anthony Joshua has horrible stamina.

https://www.*******.com/anthony-joshua-vs-joseph-parker-compubox-punch-stats--126756 In 12 rounds against Parker he landed only 139 punches. Only 27 power punches to the head.

https://www.*******.com/anthony-joshua-vs-wladimir-klitschko-compubox-punch-stats--116148 Against a old timid Wlad he landed 107 punches and was gassed out from round 6 to 10.

This is poor stamina. It isn't like Joshua even throws a lot punches. He just gasses out quickly. I know you are upset because your man crush lost but get over it. Joshua was never good, never fought anybody who was good and still in their primes. Hell he still hasn't fought anybody good who was in their prime. He just got exposed by a fat Mexican tomato can.

I m not a joshua fan. I ve been on here slating him far more than i ve ever praised him. Joshua doesnt and never has had stamina issues. Not until his chin/temple gets hit. Then it betrays him. Depletes completely. Watch the whyte fight. Fought at a great pace. Whyte hits him in the chin. Not long after it joshua goes slow motion. It was early in the fight. Hes not gassing because of his output. Its cause hes hurt. Same happens against klitchko.

His staminas fine. How many punches thrown against parker. Not just counting landed. Its a decent output for someone that size. In the same argument how many did fury throw against klitchko? Nothing wrong with furys stamina.

Not sure what is the point to argue about AJ when everyone is now universally agreeing that he cannot take a punch to the face and head. With a problem like that he was never going to go far in his HW career.
