I think Joshua had a panic attack last night.

Bunch of hogwash! He under estimated Ruiz and did not have a plan B. He figured he's the man, Ruiz would fold once he put hands on him. Only thing is, Ruiz got up and put hands on AJ. AJ had no idea how to deal with the power punching puggy one. That's it! No psych nonsense excuses needed!

i think i figured it all out.

    https://metro.co.uk/2019/05/31/anth...-to-training-camp-for-american-debut-9739219/

‘This is the first time I have worked with a psychologist as a pro. We were talking about improving because I don’t know how long I can keep going through these training camps because they’re seriously f****** me over, big time.

thats the giveaway, Joshua is mentally burnt out and i have a feeling that the father was angry with Hearn because something must have happened with Joshua the past few months, possibly he had a mental breakdown months ago and started getting some help from psychologists and psychiatrists and i have a belief that he is currently on anti-depressants or he's taking benzodiazepines. that would explain why he was looking like a zombie in the locker room while tying his shoes.

l watched the fight again today, Joshua looked off maybe hungover. Even before the fight started he looked low energy, nervous, arms resting on the ropes, chewing on mouth guard, barely raising his hands when they announced his name etc etc

Maybe the weight of being a Fraud was too much for him?

Joshua indeed had a panic attack but when he realized in the ring that he is an inferior boxer to Ruiz.

Among any other problems AJ was affected with, I don’t think he was prepared to be hit so hard.

That blow to the ear likely trashed his equilibrium and left him fatally confused. Placement counts for a helluvalot.

We’ve seen it before; a hard-hitting pug lands his Sunday-punch and the guy just blinks and keeps coming, but then lands a punch half as hard, 3” over, and the dude drops like he was shot

This is it exactly! He got cracked and didnt know what to do. He didnt seem to know how to grab, hold and survive until his head and legs recovered. He definitely didnt know how to change his tactics to adapt to Ruiz's style.

He showed flaws in this game. He was there to be hit with that left hook. He did nothing to adapt and avoid it and seemingly did not know what to do when hurt.

He is a good heavyweight. He is, at least not yet a great one.

All this talk of mental state and such is poop. He came up short on the skills side.

Maybe his chin is not the greatest but hes not supposed to get hit with shots like that repeatedly. Boxing is in part about avoiding such shots. It's not Rockem Sockem Robots.

Once again, he has holes in his game and Ruiz had the handspeed, determination and skillset to take advantage of them.

Can AJ and his team learn from this and adapt? I'll take the under on that but it's possible.

Yeah ok. Joshua who has fought in Wembley and stadiums in front of 80,000+ crowds and who has fought Klitschko and Povetkin had a panic attack before boxing Ruiz.

So Wilder would have been a calming influence if he were ringside? Is Deontay his therapy doll?

And why is Wilder not being at AJ’s fight a big deal when AJ wasn’t at Wilder’s fight?

Technically it's called emotional support doll. Probably would not have helped considering an emotional support dog just bit a guys face off on an airplane recently lol. That dog put up more of a fight than AJ did though, woops.

^ joshua getting his brainstem squeezed in the ring right before the ruiz fight

as of now i have no doubt at all that joshua had an episode in the locker room, all this information coming out by the day makes it more obvious to me.

Of course, all this mental gymnastics to try and find an alternative explanation other than the fact Joshua got out boxed and stopped by a fat bloke has very little to do with AJ the boxer and everything to do with fans trying to justify (to themselves) why they fell so badly for the Matchroom hype. This is like eavesdropping on a self-help group therapy session....

people can't deny there was something off with joshua obviously, and getting whacked in his right ear drum made him lose balance and possibly a concussion from that.
