The man himself. The natural born killer Jack Dempsey against both of last nights participants. I as always in H2H take Dempsey. Brutal KO against both
Lol yeah even though Jack Dempsey was a 190 pound guy who never fought a modern skilled and sized heavyweight that means he could beat Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz. Before I joined boxing sites like this I thought the younger generation of casual fan was clueless. But no sports fan are more clueless than these old casual boxing fans. By modern standards Dempsey would of been a cruiser weight in terms of weight. In terms of skilled Dempsey would be considered a tomato can. Anthony Joshua is unskilled for modern standards. But he is still way more skilled than any thing Dempsey ever seen. Also he a a modern sized heavyweight. Not some big no skilled lumbering off like Jess Willard. AJ would destroy Dempsey and any other tomato can from that era in less than one round.
Looking at it logically, was Dempsey as athletic as Joshua? Absolutely not was he tougher? Absolutely, Joshua’s chin can’t take Dempsey’s power and Dempsey has a great track record of demolishing bigger guys, so I think jack can ko Joshua, Ruiz would imo be much harder for jack to beat based on his style but again I think jack can stop him, love him or hate him, Dempsey is an Atg and was a world beater in his time, neither Joshua or Ruiz are or are going to be considered either
The amount of emphasis you put on weight is beyond ridiculous. What are you like 15. You knowledge is **** poor pathetic. What are you even doing here. You play big shot insulting people which adds to my theory your just some I'll informed teenager. Just a Casual and a bad one at that.
Right I guess that is why boxing has weight classes. But based on your logic casual fan Floyd Mayweather could beat Anthony Joshua too right? Because Mayweather is more skilled. Forget that fact Joshua weighs 100 pounds more and is almost a foot taller. The winner of a boxing match is all about who is more skills and not about weight classes right casual fan? What are like 90? Shouldn't you be pooping in your pants and preparing to die? Also I can't insult casual fans. You aren't smart enough to be insulted.
Lol Dempsey had a history of knocking out slow unskilled big club fighters from the 1900's. He never got in the ring with a modern sized and modern skilled heavyweight. Lol Dempsey was good for his joke era. That doesn't equate to him being good for this era. That is like saying a airplane in the 1930s that was considered stated of the art would be considered stated of the art for modern airplane standards. Dempsey is so **** poor that by today's standards he could be considered less than a tomato can. On that same note if Anthony Joshua fought in Dempsey's era he would of ever person in that era including Dempsey in less than 30 seconds.
Dempsey would be a Tomato Can... Lordy, Lordy it's a Shame you don't look at the very rare But GOOD Film from the Past where it's done right, instead of the hundreds of poor, deteriorated, low quality and Film that just wasn't Filmed Right, you do realise a lot of the people that operated cameras were equally not good at it or unqualified to get it right, it was a New Medium, which took about 3 Decades to Improve and come to terms with. you'll notice that by the late 40s and 50s Fighters LOOKED Normal like you and me today. is that because people learned how to better walk, run, _hit, _ uck or Fight??? NO, it means the Medium and Its Operator's Got BETTER with the Technology. don't be so stupid or naïve...
I wan't ready to make Joshua favorite over Dempsey before this debacle, and I certainly don't intend to do so now!
Some genuine questions 1) Did Dempsey ever weigh in at over 200lbs? 2) When was the last time someone challenged for a HW title weighing in at under 200lbs? 3) Would Dempsey be the same fighter if you added 10-20+ pounds on him? Without having thought of the OP that much, my initial position is that Dempsey could beat both.
When you get over a certain weight, the returns become diminishing. This is why say 10 or 15 pounds is a very big deal among the lower weights but not so much the higher you go in weight. Valuev had 95 pounds on Holyfield, but that wasn't an insurmountable weight advantage when talking about a 215 pounder vs a 310 ponder. Even in the Olympics, Joe Frazier was 196 pounds and Buster Mathis was 295 pounds and it was a very close, tough fight for both. Mathis didn't just dominate and destroy him even with a nearly 100 pound weight advantage. This content is protected
