Makes you appreciate what the Klitschko's did

    First, yes, Sanders, Brewster, Byrd, all deserve being noted as times a K was in a fairly well regarded position and lost to an underdog.

    BUT, during the main thrust of both fighters title reigns, they faced about a dozen fighters of the ilk of Ruiz, and beat them handily. I clearly underestimated Ruiz, but I still think a prime Arreolla beats a prime Ruiz (better size, power, volume punching, equal chin). And Vitali beat 9 in a row and Wlad beat 18. Its REALLY hard to keep turning back tough challenges from very large, hard hitting professionals, **** happens, and the K's did it for a combined 14 years during their peak.

    Yeah he boxed smart, used his reach to his advantage, something AJ should have done yesterday,,, but it ain't his style.

    Certain morons are still traumatized by the Klitschkos reign of domination for over a decade :) But the K bros were awesome.

    Vitalis reign was pathetic, isn’t wilder on like 9 wbc defences now. And you could argue wilders defences were better than vitalis!

    I can respect wlads.

    Ruiz is still getting underrated. He is easily a level above the likes of Arreola and a prime Arreola would get worked over by Ruiz.

    And, they have not beat a dozen fighters of Ruizs calibre.

    That being said... I absolutely agree with you that fights like this help put in perspective just how hard long reigns are to accomplish.

    Vitalis amazing WBC run

    - charr , stopped on a paper cut because charr was getting to vitali

    - chisora who had already been beaten more convincingly by fury

    - adamek former lightheavy fighting a super heavyweight. Embarrassing. Even the poles started cat calling for the fight to be stopped because it was a mismatch

    - solis LOL

    - Briggs - couldn’t stop an ancient Briggs who had lost 5 and been iced twice before, once by a bum.

    - sosnowski my word, absolutely horrendous.

    - Kevin Johnson who throws 2 punches a round

    -arreola average face forward fatty perfect for vitalis style

    - Gomez, another one who wasn’t even a career heavyweight fighting a super heavyweight

    - Sam peter, stumpy caveman who was suited to vitalis bitc.h slap move backwards style


    Sorry that’s a horrendous run. Wilders defences are better, and that’s saying something

    Wilder, fury, Joshua, Ruiz, Whyte and Parker would beat every single one on this list. Even joe Joyce with 8 fights could.

    Il let him off with the Byrd fight, although Byrd caused the injury by making him miss.

    Vitalis whole career is built on his failure to take the torch and belts from fat Lennox. All he got was plastic surgery

    When Wlad sat on his punches or threw his shots from the other side of the ring like Wilder does every time... nobody hit harder than Wlad.

    In no particular order the hardest punchers in HW history (IMO) when they dug in with everything they had...

    Wladimir
    Tua
    Shavers

    Manny Steward said numerous times Wlad hit the hardest out of anybody he trained.

    a well placed thumb and rounds of digging the dreads in will cause a huge cut. at least Vitali's mommy didn't forbid a rematch.
