These two fights are very similar to me. Both guys had big fights on the road and the moment seemed to be too big for both. Both guys looked out of it from the opening bell. Both had the deer in the head lights look. Both melted down in grand fashion on the road. Both fights were bizarre spectacles to watch. Whose was worse Joshua's against ruiz or bute's against froch and why?
AJ definitely, Bute was fighting a hungry man still in his prime in his hometown, AJ was fighting a stand in opponent there to be knocked over and make Him look good on his American debut. Also the level of hype between the 2 is incomparable.
Bute, I rated him higher than AJ. Froch was a much better opponent than Andy for sure, but still.. to see Bute just dismantled by a guy I couldn't stand in Froch... that was brutal.
Bute losing to Froch didn't surprise me,this did surprise me and it serves them right for always talking past their opponents

I had the same thought earlier today, 80% of the people on this forum thought that Bute would stop Froch. In both cases they were brave enough to grit their teeth and put it on the champion.
Thing with Bute is he always struggled in the later rounds due to stamina issues. In the first 5 rounds he was a beast. I thought that Froch's only chance of winning was to tough out the early rounds and try stop him late. Froch dismantled him in 5. I still can't believe how easy it was for Froch to get past Bute's defense.
