Only watched it once so not seen a reply but this is my recollection: AJ gets up around 7 or 8, at this point he should be putting his hands up showing the ref he is ready to continue. AJ turns his back on the ref and walks to the corner. The ref tells him to turn around, this ain’t a break. AJ leans on the ropes and looks at his corner. Ref twice asks him if he’s ready to continue. AJ says yes but doesn’t move off the ropes. Ref stops it. Giving that AJ had already bought more time and showed no intention of coming off the ropes to fight, the ref was right to stop it. AJ looked done!
He was done...was this the first fight you ever watched? Seriously how on earth could you watch that and not see he was done?
It was the right stoppage, for sure, perfect stoppage. But AJ did not quit. He would have got up again and again. But he would have taken more punishment, and he had already taken enough to show he was out of this fight.
The stoppage was fine. AJ looked gone when the ref was talking to him. Kinda like the lights were on but no one was home.
he was done dollar and took the easy way out. imo AJ always was a mediocre boxer and a worse bodybuilder. got the staunch knocked right out of him by a SFG lol.
He did quit, but he didn’t want to be forced to quit (as he is a prideful man) which is why he was looking at his corner hoping they would stop it. When I say he quit, I don’t mean like he quit like a *****, I mean he acknowledged it was over and didn’t see the point in continuing.
AJ was going through the motions but it was clear to anyone with half a brain, including the ref that Joshua was done. He was not mentally present. Vacant eyes. Glazed over.

You are ****ing dazed and disorientated, how clearly can you think at that point except to follow your basic instincts to stand up right. "Joshua clearly was looking for help " How was he looking for help? Did he ask for his mom? Did he phone a friend? Did he ask his doctor for some PED injections? Did he ask for a tag team with someone from the audience? He got up while he was hurt, and tried to continue, stop making **** up and trying to discredit him. He lost the fight, it was a good stoppage, just ****ing leave it at that and stop reaching to make it like AJ quit. He never quit before, and he doesn't come across as a quitter when he has fought heavy hitters. "he hardly even disputed the stoppage." I just shared a video when he did dispute the stoppage, his dispute was the same level that many other fighters showed like Charles Martin, Ugonoh, AJ was no different in his dispute. You just chat pure ****, and obviously orgasming to AJ losing. yeah we get it, he lost, stop trying to take more jabs at the guy who lost when he was humble in defeat.
No he did not quit. When breazeale lost to AJ, he quit on the floor. You are not a mind read to know what AJ felt, and AJ did not display any physical behaviour to indicate he intentionally quit. He looked at the ref, and said YES,, what else do you want? Stop chatting ****.
Agreed, he was hurt, doesn't mean he quit. To quit means, you give up, lay down, say no to continuing.
do people not realize that he gave joshua 25 seconds to recover? yes it was 25 seconds and if joshua walked forward he would have allowed him to continue and if joshua ended up winning then it would have been another black eye on boxing.
