That's debateable. Ortiz would've finished Wilder if he was 30. See how that works?

His primary issue is his chin. He freezes up when he gets hit in the face and temple. He is another Frank Bruno

agree, but I'd like to add a few more... He doesn't have defense, he doesn't have a jab, he doesn't have punch resistance, he has lower ring IQ/ technique, he doesn't have speed, he has poor footwork...

He also learned what body work feels like for the first time in his career. He stopped throwing punches in the round before the last due to a liver hook and short uppercut to the solar plexus.

Yea and tyson lost to kevin mcbride , but I think prime tyson would have knocked him out, but I’m sure it's debatable.

That’s all debatable . The fact is he was outboxed and finished by a severely obese mexican.

Also, he's not a very good boxer.
This entire era of HWs is pitiful. Worst in history.

Ruiz is a pitty pat puncher.

I think his boxing skill is way overrated. He lands very hard punches. Most of his punches are KOed type. He is able to get people out of there early, masking his skill. Put someone in with him that can take his punches and throw back while eating his bombs and he has no answer.

His jab was non existent, he was missing wildly with the right hand and left hook throwing single shots, he couldn't tie up consistently, he doesn't move very well in the ring, a few minutes of pressure fighting and he gasses. A glass jaw. Signs of a guy who depends solely on his power.

I had words with one of Joshua's former trainer today and he was adamant that he was going to lose eventually because of being heavily reliant upon his sheer physicality and bulging muscles to see him through.
