Usyk is not 6'4 and Marciano has up to this point fought and beat bigger men than he has

Who actually thinks that Rocky Marciano would enter the ring at that weight with today's training? He would enter as a cruiserweight most likely. His record is unbelievably underrated.

    Oh he's 6 foot 4? Ok.

Will he become 6 foot 5 by next week? Is Usyk still growing by the way?

Marciano yeah that guy was solid, great comparison. He would do fantastic today... clean out the division.

If someone like Dillian Whyte lost to Marciano I would quit watching boxing.

Marciano was a great fighter but he was essentially a small cruiserweight, he still would be competitive in the cruiserweight division today, probably even champion but at heavyweight he would be out of his depth imo.

Bottom line is Marciano was not a modern heavyweight, he was a CRUISERWEIGHT and he should be compared to cruiserweights.

Lol kid even if he put on 10 pounds he still wouldn't be a modern sized heavyweight which is my point. Also his record? You mean his record of beating 4 past their prime 160 to 190 pound boxers in Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, and Jersey Joe Walcott? Well maybe you should stick to posting in the Classic forum. That seems to more of your cup of tea.

I was just recently at the International Boxing Hall of Fame and they had so many entries in his fighting days and the heavyweight scene in his era. It was great. I didn't expect to see so much regarding (my all-time favorite) Archie Moore, Jersey Joe, Ezzard Charles, Joe Louis, as well as strong contenders like Roland LaStarza, Rex Layne. The things about Rocky is that he often fought the best in the division multiple times.

Lol Usyk is 6'3. Marciano didn't beat guys Usyk size. Marciano best wins were against guys who by today's standards would be super middleweight. light heavyweight, or small cruiserweights.

The sad thins is I doubt he could even compete with today's cruiserweights. Marciano was 180 pounds. Which is only 5 pounds away from being a light heavyweight. Most cruiserweights today are around 200 pounds and are far more skilled.

What is the point of that video? Lol Marciano wasn't fighting any modern sized heavyweights was he? He was fighting guys his own size.

Go back to the classic section kid. So you can live in your little fantasy world where 5'10 180 pound guys like Rocky Marciano could beat modern sized and modern skilled guys. Ignored.

Well, Joe Louis was 6’2 215 pounds in that video.

It was a reply to a poster that said Marciano had no skills. Which is a common misconception.

Marciano was about 185-188 pounds most of the time and he had exceptional stamina, workrate, chin and punching power, imo he would do very well for himself in the cruiserweight division, he certainly wouldn’t be a pushover for anyone.
