If after Joshua had beaten the count, and was standing in the corner, had the ref called "time!" and called to wash off the mouthpiece, would you have complained ?

Joshua spitting out the mouthpiece really hasn't been talked about too much, when a fighter does that it can work as a stall tactic to give more time. Arguably Joshua would have bought himself some recovery time after getting up by spitting out the mouthpiece before getting up. Had the ref not waived it off he would have had to stop the fight to wash off the mouthpiece which would have given Joshua much needed recovery time. With that extra time maybe Joshua recovers.

The ref could have stopped it in the 3rd.

They could've taken 10 minutes to wash and change his mouth piece, he doesn't recover to well and Ruiz STILL would've got to him !

Joshua had a whole round to recover in the fourth and couldn't do it. He was gone at that stage.

Ultimately the ref may have done him a favor in longevity and saved him from a clean KO but Joshua has recovered before from heavy knockdowns and is a unified champ so maybe he should have been given the befit of the doubt. I think the ref saw something else, psychologically he was done.

He also needs PEDs that can help him be as courageous as the soul that used the bodies of the late Valero-Corrales-Gatti

In the Parker fight Joshua used the loose tape trick every time he was under pressure to get a break.
