That was one of the strangest HW title fight ending i ever saw: Joshua simply refused to keep fighting, even though he was still able to defend himself.

Thse guys are making WAAAYYY too much easy money.

He was In disbelief that a fatty was beating him pillar to post, out skilling him and showing no fear.

AJ will go down as a top ten mental midget. Heart of glass.

He was spoiled by Hearn and the UK boxing public. Every hard core heavyweight knew that. He was trying to cash out, that's why he wanted most of the money. He didn't anticipate getting skull drugged by Ruiz but he did have a foreboding about the out come of a Wilder or Ortiz fight. He and Hearn kept lowballing those gents. Then Ruiz comes along and snatches the dress off his butt and exposes pure pus. Bad boy bad boy, what you gon do when they come for you.

Even Frank Bruno refused to give up until they had to unglue him from the canvas vs Witherspoon and Smith.

He was clear eyed, resting both his arms on the ropes and looking at the ref answering him he wanted to continue.

If you had enough, be a man about it instead of pretending to be a warrior.

Or was it simply because he knew he had a rematch clause and just plain quit to save himself the effort of trying to comeback in the fight.

Rematch clauses are the cancer of boxing and should be absolutely forbidden.

    Quit fighting?

You do realize that the punches that put him down for the last time, were caused from Ruiz interrupting AJ and catching him while he was punching, right?

Right: then stop pretending you want to continue and have the honesty to tell the ref you've had enough instead of being an actor.

And again, would this Saturday's result have been identical had there been no rematch clause ?
    I very much doubt it.

hes just being himself. He talks matter of fact all the time as part of his methodical athlete self and his act is limited to that.

It makes him seem to lack a heart, perhaps he does, but its hard to claim that about a titlist. I think hes more of an cold, planning, anti-emotionalist. Theres a phrase for it on Brigss Myer tests.

How does that contradict me ?

You can't have it both ways: if you chose to run your mouth, then you have to perform in the ring.

Amir khan got hit near the balls and flat out quit at the first sign of trouble

Joshua got knocked down four times and you say he refused to fight on?

You need an IQ test mate.

He was being carried to the 7th round, the strangest part was Andy Ruiz holding back...He already knew his power-speed combination will stop Joshua anytime he wishes to do so

He let the ref quit for him plain and simple. After the first down he looked more nervous then a virgin in a brothel.

You need to watch the end again. He is asked to continue and gives an absolutely unconvincing response verbally and body wise.
Boxing 101 - if you are in that situation you need to give a strong message in every way that you want to continue, you demand it - or you quit or allow someone else to do the quitting for you to put you out of your misery.

Ref put AJ out his misery with nary a peep of protest.
