An absolute monster. I know 168 isn’t the strongest division but he’s going to take some stopping. Question is does he stay and unify the division and wait for Canelo or move up and take the bigger fights?
Time for Callum to face Canelo so he can show gingerbread who's boss. Once he beats Canelo, he can clean up at 168..and maybe just stay there while the 175 grand national plays out. Buatsi vs Smith could be a megafight a few years from now, I predict that's where we are headed.
If he can make the 168 pound weight at the scales then yes stay put as come fight night he weighs way way in excess of 168 so generally being bigger fighter on night of bout. Only issue is if opponents have stipulations put into contracts like Canelo does about amount of weight opponents can gain by fight night through rehydrating
lol at thinking anyone can tell Canelo what to do, Canelo can just say **** off I'll fight someone else.
Callum Smith is the real deal, let’s hope he can get the canelo fight. I just struggle to see canelo coming over to England so he’s gonna have to do it the hard way.
Good luck getting fights at 175. He should stick to 168, if he is comfortable at it. Always a possibility of Alvarez moving back up again and a good chance of getting a fight with Saunders.
I would be surprised if Alvarez takes the Smith fight. He is not that kind of fighter. So Smith should fight Saunders and the other champions.
Indeed he can, but as we know what Canelo wants Canelo generally gets. Mr Canelo would likely avoid Mr Smith if the rehydration stipulation was not in contract, Golden boy are not going to risk their golden egg. I hope Callum can stay at 168, his height combined with that weight on fight night is one helluva an advantage, if Canelo not want to play on Callums terms then so be it, only way i would suggest Callum conceded that stipulation would be if Callum was looking for one last big payday as a 168 before moving up, if you going to give up the title anyway you might as well go for the big bucks in last throw of the dice.
Right on , even more reasons for ODH to look the other way , unless he can come up with some more "inventive" clauses to protect Clenboi.
He's very clinical, picks his shots well.. Smart fighter. Big fan, I look forward to following his next move..
