    Many people are disparaging Anthony Joshua these days, but let's not forget Joe Louis, Wladimir Klitschko, and Lennox Lewis had devastating stoppage losses and then bounced back to become dominant champions.

    Joshua has the talent, the size, the power, and the intelligence to make a comeback.

    Just wait and see.

    He can improve his game in this particular match tremendously, it was a late sub and he perhaps underestimated Ruiz. However, he never was a defensive genius and Lennox, Wlad were able to take care of themselves much better.

    In order to not only win the rematch which I believe he will, but stand a chance against Wilder's right or Fury frustrating and peppering on fast legs, he needs to up his game big time. Ppl. will go for his chin now, target the temple and so on, so it'll be impressive if he'll remain unbeaten.

    Wlad and Lennox are much better boxers then AJ. AJ started boxing late and it shows. He is a good puncher, but forgets everything he knows when gets hit.

    1. He will most likely become a champion again, he is young!
    2. He won't become champion against Fury or Wilder, unless its 8 or 10 years from now.

    Its ceartainly possible, the ruiz fight was very much reminiscent of Wladimir Klitschko Lamon Brewster 1, Brewster stopped him in the same fashion ruiz stopped joshua both men down in the fight also.

    I dont count him out.

    However, the nature of his loss is different than Wlads and LLs. They werent beaten down like that. There is a difference.

    Also, Wlad benefited from not getting an immediate rematch with Sanders.

    From the sounds of it they are going to go right back at Ruiz. Should Ruiz beat him again, which imo is likely, then it gets even worse for AJ.

    You know... I was dismissing all this talk that something was wrong with him as usual post fight speculation... but now Im legitimately wondering whats up there.

    I'd make him a slight favorite to regain his belts against Ruiz. But I don't think he'd have any kind of good chance against Wilder or Fury. I'd even make Usyk the favorite over him right now. The future looks bleak for him right now.

    I agree with this, if he gets an immediate rematch in the UK, I think he wins but he's not going to be a ' Klitschko ' type, long term champion.

    this loss looks harder to bounce back from than Lewis's to me, Lewis didn't have to endure much of a beating, its arguable he was winning the fights before the punches that took him out. Wlad I guess is more comparable because it looked like he was hugely flawed and unlikely to come back and dominate the division. but when it comes down to it has AJ got the same ability as these guys, doubtful. he cant deal with a fast combination puncher, is he going to be able to avoid an exchange with Ruiz for 12 rounds? I don't see the rematch as simply a case of AJ coming in more prepared and doing the business, there were technical issues he has to overcome as well.
