But if you are getting sparked in sparring that is no excuse .... it just shows bad prep and training .... and if you are getting beaten down in sparring then don't expect to win the fight

Those sparring stories which I mentioned are not make believe, it's well documented and confirmed that they happened.

 

Why was his dad on film having to be forcibly restrained from confronting Hearn then at the end? Pissed off about the seating allocation he was given?

Give me a break, Hearn has been pimping out Joshua and now it's all come crashing down in spectacular fashion.

 

It does sound like something was weird with this fight. It reminds me of Douglas Tyson in that AJ came in with something off but at the same time his opponent rose to the occasion. the problem is a loss like that has a detrimental effect. not so sure Joshua can recover. to mentally overcome a beating like that in a rematch is a big ask, soon as he gets clipped and hurt it will all come back.

The rematch will answer a lot of questions anyway, if he gets clipped and physically crumbles again like this it wasn't because he got ko'd in sparring. unless he does indeed get ko'd in sparring again the week before, funnier still imagine he didn't get ko'd in sparring this time but dose next time.

 

Plus, when you get repeatedly knocked down in boxing, there is a physiological "protection" response which means that you reach that stage with less and less effort required. The body and brain does this to protect itself. Think Khan and a myriad of other boxers who became more and more chinny as time went on.
