    He is definitelty heading there though. Being the first Mexican Heavyweight Champion in history is no joke and he did so by beating a massively celebrated undefeated champion who is also an Olympic Gold Medalist. That achievement all alone stamps his name in the mouths of historians, critics and fans forever.

    If Ruiz goes on to defend his title 3 times successfully and two of those names are any of the 3 or all 3 are DW,TF and AJ he will be an all time great Mexican fighter.

    If he has the mexican nationality, then he is mexican. His parents were born in mexico, so I bet he has the mexican nationality.

    Plus a tatoo in his arm saying "made in mexico", plus his name is Andrés Ponce Ruiz. Honestly, he couldnt be more mexican.

    If my son is born in another country for job reasons, I will 100% give him my nationality. 10000000% sure.

    it dont matter if he wasnt born in mexico, he got hes mexican citizenship back when he represeted mexico in the olympics so yeah hes mexican
