Those guys turned there carers around & arguably BOTH may get into the HOF... I can remember when people used to **** on the physique of the likes of Peter, Chagaev, Chambers, Iggy, Solis, Arreola etc.. Suggesting that all the HWs were in the NBA.. LOL Yet Wilder & Joshua & indeed Wlad (who I'm a big fan of) got taken apart by men with bingo wings... Fury, Ruiz & Sanders.. So it's not about Mr Olympia.. Its about skill & heart & numerous intangibles... You can't really help your body type too much but u can dedicate yourself to a Craft!
Ahh cool cool. Had an acquaintance named Andre that used to post here so was just curious. Thanks for the reply
And if Wilder stops Ortiz and Fury early in their upcoming return bouts, your comparisons go out the window. Let Wilder conclude his reign. Vitali has concluded his. (Side note: Chisora and Szpilka fight each other next. So we'll see who is superior there.)
Yes, Wilder has time to surpass Vitali, I never said otherwise. He could surpass almost any HW if he gets good fights and wins them, he has a good opportunity. But I was responding to an idiot who was comparing their reigns as they currently stand. On another note, I hadn't heard Chisora was facing Spilzka, that would be a great fight if it happens.
I love how no one wants to give Ruiz any credit and instead bash on Joshua for losing instead. Pathetic, yet typical, display of mindless hatred.
What is still being ignored is Klitschko and Lennox Lewis both switched to Emmanuel Steward. Steward changed both of they aggressive styles to a more defensive approach with a stiff jab to protect those fragile chins.. Who does AJ go to or do he stay with his current trainer..
Agreed.. Vitali gives a lot of credit for almost beating Lennox Lewis but his WBC reign is very similar to Wilders.. Even tho I think he was light years ahead of Wlad just have to be honest..
You’re not going to see a reign like Wlad’s for a long long time. Too much posturing from these guys to make money rather than fight legit opposition. Yeah Wlad had a few lemons forced on him by sanctioning bodies (Alex Leapi to name one) but he went out and fought the ring rated top guys at their best consistently. Credit to Joshua he was doing the same thing but just got picked off by the unlikeliest of opponents. Wilder’s run has been very fraudulent so far.
As much as I respect the K bros. and give them credit for ruling the HW division, I feel they are partially responsible for almost killing the HW scene with their extremely boring style of fighting. Over a decade of ambien.
To each their own. I understood that criticism more with Wlad. Personally I liked his precision, science, and power, but his clinching and lack of engaging wasn't fan friendly. Vitali I always found very entertaining, even from a fan friendly perspective. He always engaged, still had alot of power. Not sure what people's complaint was with him
I was going to comment that Vitali was actually a lot more fun to watch than his little bro, but I wanted to add a pinch of hyperbole.
