The referee of the Parker fight probably would have saved him against Ruiz too.

Will the belts still be available next year?

Does he really need a tick over?

Fury got slated for his tick overs after being out longer, and came back and beat Wilder but never got it.

Ruiz just came off a fight and went straight in to this and won.

He has to, it cannot be allowed for him to have a "Tick Over".

If he does then he should just quit, this game is not for him, he has made his money and should stop attempting to fleece folk even more.

To me, it just looked like he couldn't deal with Ruiz's hand speed and straight punching coming from all angles.
No great surprise when consider a 39 year Povetkin had him a little ruffled with similar but lesser attacks.

I think a rematch could go either way, Joshua would need to be a lot better though and much more disciplined.

I reckon Ruiz Jr could do him again and I voted for him.

Who knows...maybe Ruiz would invoke memories and anxiety from his first defeat to McDermott causing Fury to collapse under pressure...

Oh man they should slot it on the same night as Wilder-Ortiz 2 in US.
The disparity in TV ratings would hurt Wilder's ego so bad :risas3::risas3:

I wonder just how solid the paperwork is for this rematch..Big Al Haymon has really got Eddie and Joshua by the balls here, especially with the IBF already making noises about calling for a mandatory.

All of a sudden, Haymon has got himself a Unified Mexican Heavyweight Champion, who if marketed correctly, could shift directly into a PPV fighter, if they target the Latino market.

Wilder v Ruiz at the staples centre would be a huge american fight now.

Good point. You’d think he would want to try and set the record straight though at some point whether he has the belts or not.

By the looks of it he’s not gonna have a tick-over anyway mate. I think he needs one as part of a rebuild in technique and confidence.

Not very solid at all. Finkel and Haymon have run rings around MR stateside, and to think they'll let this Latino megastar in the making lose a British stoppage in London is absurd. The rematch is as dead as Dillinger, and that's even assuming AJ wanted it. He's 2 days out post beating ffs, yet again Eddie forcing his hand and mouth like a puppet master.

What noises are the IBF making? All I’ve read is they will allow an exemption.
