    For all the belts

You have the black v Mexican thing

How well can it be promoted and how much money can it make ?

No way it gets anywhere near what AJ v Wilder would have gotten

But i think it's a solid both fighters make 12 million each type of event

It gets easily as much as Wilder Joshua. Mexicans aren't exactly unknown for being big boxing fans.

Make it May 5th and it could be huge. Wilder would need to tone down his thug antics and its not palatable with casuals. But yea, it could be huge. The first ever Mexican Heavyweight Champ, would that not be someone they would rally behind?

Ruiz has to prove he is more of a quality pro in the eyes on casuals than he is, right now, he is still viewed as a flukish win. Plus neither guy is viewed as the best heavy in the world. It’s Fury. With Joshua still placing probably ahead of Wilder after Fury and Ruiz.
Quite simply for the fight to be huge - Ruiz has to beat Joshua again and Wilder has to win his next two fights that he has signed

He is Mexico's FIRST HW champ. Do you realise how big of a deal that is? It sells itself. DW is the most dangerous boxer in the world....those are two massive selling points not even taking into account the differences in their characters, nationalities, fighting styles etc etc etc

Joshua's yesterday's man, fish and chip paper, memory holed. Focus on the future.

Joshua doesn't any part of Ruiz. Let that sink in for a minute, hour, days. Haha. Ruiz is huge, all roads lead to him.

It's freakin insane how much of a grip the guy has on them.

To them everything in boxing is measured and defined by Joshua, even after he has been soundly thrashed and his weasely promoter soundly outflanked at every turn. It's damn near a cult, and I mean that literally.

If Eddie starts serving Kool Aid at Wembley Stadium they will line up for it.

If they held the bout on Mexico independence day they would sell out any arena in Mexico or the US, Ruiz heritage is a selling point par excellence.

If such a venue was available the live gate would be matching those of bygone eras.

This is another anti-Wilder troll thread, but let's play along.

Ruiz does not have major Mexican support. That tends to coalesce pretty early, so I wouldn't assume he's going to become the next Canelo. Ruiz also does not look the part of a professional athlete, and that's going to hurt with casuals. They *like* muscles, as evidence by the over-infatuation with Anthony Joshua.

If they were to meet, I'd guess maybe 400k on PPV.

Might be a good guess, but if Ruiz wins a rematch with AJ plus a gimme defense in, say, Los Angeles ... and Wilder defeats Ortiz and Fury, I’d push that above 750K.

And don’t underestimate how much Las Vegas will shell out to get a big fight involving a Mexican on Cinco de Mayo weekend or Mexican Independence Day in mid-September.

So money-wise, I think it would support well over $15M per fighter.

He is still viewed as a bit of a novelty and unknown. And wilder doesn’t really sell, although I think that may be changing. My point being I think it can be a huge match but Ruiz needs more exposure and Wilder tweeted that he is contracted to fight Ortiz and Fury so this fight doesn’t happen until the fall of 2020 at the earliest.

Ruiz is huge I wouldn’t deny that lol. We’ll see if Joshua wants any part of him I think if he doesn’t take his immediate rematch clause he will be frozen out.
