Agreed! Good thread! Beating top 10 challenger after top 10 challenger at the level of Andy Ruiz Jr is really not as easy as people think. Fat guys who have granite chins, and are fast, and are powerful are absolute nightmares in the heavyweight division and are very difficult to beat. That the Klitschkos did so with such ease and consistency, kind of led to people thinking those guys they beat were bums, when in actual fact, they were made to look like bums by the superiority of the Klitschkos.

Those same guys that the Klitschkos forced to look like 'bums', may very well beat the TOP heavyweights from other eras. Andy Ruiz Jr is an example of this, after beating Joshua. And I'm confident some of the other top 10 heavyweights today who are considered bums, fat, overweight and out of shape by majority of the fans here, could also beat the likes of Wilder and Fury. So never overestimate the top guys in this era and underestimate the other top 10 guys, until those at the absolute top have thoroughly separated themselves (which they haven't thus far). Which is why Joshua lost to Ruiz and I can see Wilder also losing to Adam Kownacki in very similar fashion.

The only thing I disagree with, is Arreola being better than Ruiz Jr. I think Andy Ruiz puts up a better fight against Vitali but still loses. Ruiz is faster than Arreola with just as good of a chin and power. But has better combination punching, head movement and close-range fighting. Andy Ruiz Jr would be worthy opponent for the Klitschkos and would be one of their best wins, no doubt.

It's really not as shameful as people think it is, to lose to someone like Andy Ruiz Jr. It's just that the Klitschkos have set such high standards for the likes of Joshua to emulate today.

    Sosnowski?
    Adamek?
    Charr?
    Danny Williams?
Sanders (lucky not to be stopped, sanders cashing out)
    Briggs?
    Safety pin?
Chisora (fury had already beat him and in more style)
    Arreloa

That’s a list of C-B rate heavyweight fighters. It can’t be argued. It’s awful.

Vitalis best 3 wins off the top of my head

Peter - already lost to wlad

Sanders, who was pitifully out of shape and gave poor vits a fight

3- ummmm. Trying to do this without boxrec. That’s when you know it’s a weak resume. Nothing really springs to mind. Maybe undefeated arreloa?

Please don’t say adamek or any of that nonsense. Shocking mismatch in size, power an skill and adamek still went rounds.

Give me 3 genuine A rate heavyweights on his resume.

1- Lewis - lost and smashed up

2- Byrd (barely A)- slipped shots with excellent defence causing vitali to quit because of shoulder injury.

    3- is there a 3rd?

I agree but it seem like Wlad became more gun shy as Banks became his trainer... I don’t think we have that Fury performance if Steward was in his corner.. Sugar Hill had Adonis Stevenson fighting that same style where he was jabbing and throwing that devastating left hook..

Speaking of which it’s a shame that Wilder-Joshua basically is Stevenson-Kovalev all over again

Egg brain, it's amusing how you keep trying at this. But you will always come up short. I destroyed you, inarguably, on comparing Vitalis second reign to Wilders current reign, and now you are reduced to just trying to use one word epithets or other hair brained snippets against Vits victims? Please. A good argument can be made his wins over Sanders and Peter are better than any his brother had. Regardless, both were the clear best non Ks around at the time, and one he beat after a 4 year absence. Adamek, was a guy roughly the size of Holyfield, was one of the two best non Ks at the time he was beaten by Vit. Hide, Arreola, Gomez, Johnson were all clear top 10 hw's and ranked as such by Ring, Solis, Chisora, Donald all could have been. And a bunch of wins over top 25 opposition, with the best rounds won percentage in HW history, maybe across all divisions. And never a loss that left no questions as to who the better fighter was. Clearly an ATG, recognized as such by the Hall of Fame, sportswriters, and the majority on forum polls. But you keep hating with all your little egg brain power, it's amusing.

Being the same size as Holyfield does not mean you are as good as Holyfield.

You really think a win over peter or sanders is better than wlads over unbeaten povetkin, unbeaten chageav , haye, unbeaten ibragimov, unbeaten pulev, unbeaten Jennings?

Oh and also Wlad beat unbeaten peter and showed true heart, and then beat him again!

    Tell the truth now.

I agree with this, Vitali was clearly lacking the quality in his career. His string of WBC defenses looks quite similar to the quality of opposition Deontay is lining up these days.

Although one thing is for certain: If there was a $50-$100 million fight on the table, Vitali wouldn't have declined it while opting to fight a guy like Brezeale for $2 million.

Shame I would have replied, but alas you have been booted for quite clearly being a fan boi.

Vitali Head to head vs anyone is up there.

    However His resume is awful.

Wlads is so much better it’s almost inexcusable to say otherwise.

    I’m just being logical.
