I don’t think he quit as such, but the fight was totally beaten out of him. He spat his gum shield out and walked to the corner but I believe he was that concussed he couldn’t register what the ref was saying to him. Whilst he didn’t quit, his natural instinct wasn’t to go to the well & give it everything he had. In comparison to Fury, look how he’d just been floored...he got up, bouncing about and wanting to put it straight on back on Wilder. Joshua on the other hand, didn’t have that enthusiasm to put it back on Ruiz.
I won't deny that AJ had the fight beaten out of.him, but surely we are.all built differently and have different powers of recouperation/recovery, He was in bad shape mentally and physically after that last knockdown which explains his body language and coherency.
