Agreed, and my point it doesn’t matter because all fights are different and that’s a fact. People had AJ on a certain pedestal and people will end up doing the same with wilder. The first step up most people think he lost. AJ can still beat wilder I’ve absolutely no doubt about it, still 50-50 for me.

Joshua was badly hurt by a punch to the ear, guess who punches a lot behind peoples ears, it‘s Wilder.

If Fury hadn't vacated the title AJ wouldn't have got a shot, he would still be scrapping around begging for a shot, he was exposed in the best way possible, thought he was going to put a show on in the US, he certainly did, showed himself and the UK up, the big robotic bum.

It's a real shame the late great steward isnt around as I feel he would've been the perfect guy to get AJ right.
AJ needs to master that jab, fight long like the big man at all times.
Andy shouldn't have even been able to get close enough to touch AJ.
Lennox Lewis and Klitschko becames masters of that game under steward. All big guys with suspect chins who can over come their shortcomings and use their huge strengths.

It might not always be pretty but it was very effective.

During the latter portion of Lewis career, his jab was not only a phenomenal defensive weapon but it was a devastating piston of a shot. A real damaging game changer offensively.

I feel like if Joshua makes the right changes. He can still be what he was once thought of or could become. He can be great.

He has to dig deep now. This could be his Lewis/McCall. Lewis/ Rahman moment.

Wlad was put down many times and still went on to be the most dominant champ of his era.

I really look forward to this rematch. It will make or break Joshua.

Sounds like Ruiz managed to scramble your brain along with AJ's!! I've dismissed Dillian's chances against Ortiz, Wilder, Fury, Hunter, Miller but pretty sure never said anything about AJ since I've never liked him either. You must have mixed me with you since I remember quite clearly how you completely dismissed Ruiz's and Hunter's chances against AJ. :b1:

And how exactly does Ruiz's win imply that Joshua isn't levels above Dillian  not that I'm saying he is.

You better come to the kitchen and have some coffee yourself since looks like you need to wake up pal!

Ruiz will has to be careful. Don't forget AJ hit Ruiz hard enough to knock him on his ass.

I think Wilder punches are powerful but it catches fighters off guard because his punches are technically flawed, you just don't know what to expect because they come from strange angles. You're not really supposed to generate the power he does, because the leverage isn't really there, it's it's why he goes off balance when he misses, but he sure does have freakish power. I just don't think Joshua can beat Wilder due to stamina and chin reasons. You got to remember though father time is on Joshua's side for that fight. Joshua can improve, wilder on the other hand will be on a decline.

Power is the last thing to go for a fighter. Wilder will still have it. If AJ is so crap right now at 30, he isn't going to be able to drastically improve after this.

What's led you to see Wilder will decline? If you want to say his improvement will be marginal, fine, but he's a fantastic athlete who's as durable as anybody in the division.

Agree with your comments on his power though. It comes from places that other fighters don't/can't generate it from. It's difficult to gameplan for a fighter like that.

This fight showed to me the importance of the mental game.

Joshua had too much, too soon. He's a nice kid, broke under the pressure.

Joshua needs to take some time off, get everything straight then come back at it with everything straight.

Kind of like Fury, only without the booze/drugs.

rather embarrassingly, the company PowerBeatsPro headphones have yet to drop AJ from their tv adverts.

He rubs shoulders with Jessica Ennis, Serena WIlliams, and looks like the ugly ducking in it.

They REALLY should edit the advert! POWER beats PRO!

Maybe not everyone wants to kick somebody when they’re down and maybe some people have a bit of loyalty? I’m sure AJ has done wonders for their product, look how popular AJ is.

i dont want to do anything. It just looks ridiculous, having him next to the Invincibles the day after a midget fatboy killed him.

lookm at the product name! "power beats pro"

let me know if you dont think that is true.
